I should apologize, but I'm not even sorry...

As Killian took one last breath, he heard Emma cry out in horror as she realized what she'd done. He tried to fight the darkness consuming him, the blackness snuffing out the light, but he simply could not. The pain was too much.
The last thing he saw was Emma's beautiful face, teary-eyed, grief-stricken, yet beautiful.
"I'm so sorry! Please come back! No, I love you! Please come back!" She shouted, kissing him frantically. But it was too late. He was gone. She had lost control because of the dark spirit and she'd killed him.

Years passed by. Their daughter Alison, born seven months after Killian's death, grew into a dashing young woman with Killian's dark hair, intelligence and sass. She reminded so many of her father, including her mother.
More time. Alison had a husband and two children. Henry, a wife and three. Emma was surrounded by love, but there was always one person missing. And it would always be her fault.
The day came fifty seven years, three months, eighteen days after his death. After Alison's youngest left for college, after Henry's oldest had her first son, that Emma's life finally ended.
She was surrounded by her family when it happened, Henry and Alison holding her hands, knowing this was what she wanted. The moment came and she closed her eyes, allowing the darkness to take her.
She was suddenly in a bright white room. Then she heard a voice she'd not heard for years. "Miss me?"
Emma turned around to face the source of the voice. There he stood, grinning at her with his gorgeous smile, looking the same he had the day he'd died. Because of her.
Emma crashed into him, holding on to him as tight as she could. "I'm so sorry. I'm so so so sorry, I-"
He cut her off with a kiss. As their lips met, Emma could feel her youth returning. Her hair retained its golden glow, growing longer than it had been in years, she felt the wrinkles on her face and hands vanish. She was thirty again.
Killian smiled down at her. "There's no need for apologies, Love," he turned her around to look down at her family, mourning her loss. "Emma, she's stunning," he nodded at their daughter, who now appeared older than her. "I'm so proud of you," he grinned.
Emma hugged him once again.
Killian smiled down at her, wrapped his arm around her and with one last look back at their family, they walked into the bright light above them.
Now, no villain or curse could separate them. Not even death could part them. They were forever.
