Emma and Killian stood in the back of the diner, trying to stay out of the view of the two teenagers in the booth by the door.
"Do you think they're together, and he's not telling me?" Emma whispered.
Killian shook his head. "I'm quite sure he would have told me, Love. I am his step-father after all,"
"No. You aren't. The wedding is next week," Emma teased with a smile.
"My point remains. I'm sure him and Ashlyn are just friends. They probably have a project together or something."
That's when Henry put his arm around the girl.
"And now?" Emma turned to look at her fiancé.
"Now, I think they're together and he's not telling you," Killian tried and failed to hold back a laugh.
Emma sighed and stalked over to the two fifteen-year-olds, Killian right behind her.
"Hey, you two!" Emma put on her best 'fun mom' voice.
Henry dropped his arm and moved away slightly from Ashlyn.
"Uh, hey, mom. Hi, Killian..." Henry said.
"You know, I'd better get going... Lots of... Stuff... To do. Bye, Mr and Mrs. Jones," Ashlyn said.
"We aren't marri-" Emma sighed as the girl left the diner.
Killian was trying not to burst into laughter.
Henry sat there awkwardly, awaiting the lecture.
He didn't get one, instead Killian took the lad sailing and told him how to woo a lady.
Emma found Ashlyn at the park, sitting in a bench, and took her shopping.
If her son was going to have a girlfriend, Emma was going to know about it. And get to know her.
Needless to say, the next week, Henry showed up to his mother's wedding holding Ashlyn's hand.
Ashlyn caught the bouquet...
