This got wayyyy sassier than I intended but it's literally 1am and I promised I'd have this ready so you're just gonna have to deal with sassy Emily, and jokes about orange juice. Don't say I didn't warn you...

"What exactly do we need to do?" Emma asked, walking over to the kitchen counter where Regina had set down the book. She read the page. This was one of the few that wasn't in some weird and unknown language that only Regina -and apparently Killian- understood.
"We need to make the potion and give it to Jekyll. When he drinks it, it will return him to to his original form, getting rid of his alter ego. The spell requires the mixed blood of this true love couple, along with- does that say gorgon tongue? What the hell? What's Deathwater Root?" Emma was shocked at the peculiarity of some of the ingredients.
"Those are standard potion ingredients. I have those in my vault, I'll get them. David, come with me, apparently no one is safe here anymore. You three," Regina nodded to Zelena, Emma, and Killian, "Watch Henry. Emma, call your mother and get her to bring Jekyll so that we can use the potion on him... Actually, never mind." Regina waved her hand and the two appeared. "As I said, no one is safe. Wait here, and if I come back to Gold or Hyde in this apartment, I swear I'm casting a permanent pest-repellent spell on this place," she huffed, and with that she waved her hand again, transporting her and David away to her vault.
"Is she always so charming?" Jekyll spoke once the smoke left behind dissipated.
"She's going through a lot right now," Snow explained, "What's happening?"
"Oh, you know. Typical Tuesday in Storybrooke. True Love confirmations and all," Zelena sighed, opening the fridge.
"True Love confirmations? What?" Snow look suspiciously at Emma.
"Well-"
"Is there no orange juice?!? What have I told you about orange juice?" Zelena slammed the fridge door shut and plopped back down the couch.
"Orange- what?"
"Mom, we'll explain everything later, okay? Right now we-"
"No, we have time. We have to wait for Regina and David. I want to hear everything!" Snow squealed excitedly.
Zelena groaned, dramatically falling face first into the cushions of the couch she sat on. "I'm going to find Henry. Have fun with story time."
"No, I want to hear this story too," Henry said, walking downstairs.
"Well," Jekyll said nervously, "I'll just-"
"Sit down, gardener," Zelena stopped him from leaving.
"Your family confuses me very much," Jekyll replied, taking his seat again beside Snow, who looked ecstatic to hear how and when her daughter and the pirate were confirmed true love.
Emma let Killian explain it this time, to a very bouncy Snow, a proud Henry, a confused Jekyll, and Zelena who was trying and failing to hide her smile.
"Okay, I have questions!" Emma's mother beamed when Kiloian finished the story.
Emma groaned. "Fine."
"First off, how has this conversation not come up before now? Like, we've been back here for three days!"
"Mom, I think you're forgetting that those four days involved Robin dying, Killian still being dead until two days later, and yesterday was spent running around New York and wherever the hell you guys went off to. We've kind of had other things to deal with besides the fact that I saved him from a fire and opened a door," Emma said.
"Sorry, you were dead?" Jekyll interrupted.
"Which time?" Zelena interjected.
"He's kind of turned dying and coming back to life into a professional sport. We're trying to get him to stop. We'll get there, he's lasted two days now. That's a recent record," Henry teased.
Killian let out a breathy laugh and shook his head playfully at Emma's son. Emma, Snow and Zelena shared a knowing glance, as Jekyll looked on, seemingly terrified.
"Okay, Emma, you make a point. But why didn't you tell anyone?" Snow asked.
"I... I guess I didn't think it mattered if he wasn't coming back. Why acknowledge the fact that my true love was stuck down there, you know?" Emma said sadly, feeling the familiar (and all too common these days) sting in her eyes.
Everyone at the table nodded in understanding. Killian reached out for her hand, intertwining their fingers.
With everyone filled in on what was happening, all they had left to do was wait for Regina and David to return. Luckily, there were no unwanted visitors, and Regina didn't have to cast a pest-repellent spell upon her return, however Emma didn't see why she shouldn't... Gold's track record of bursting into the loft at the most inappropriate times didn't necessarily prove otherwise.
After another few minutes spent preparing the potion, they were ready.
Regina approached Emma and Killian. "Mixed blood. I'm gonna need your hands," she said.
Emma glanced at Killian, took a deep breath and held out her right hand, as did Killian.
"Okay, I'm not going to lie and say this won't hurt, so..." Regina muttered, taking Killian's hand and quickly slicing a knife across his palm.
Killian winced slightly, but didn't complain. It would heal. He'd had worse. He'd been run through with a sword twice and he was still here, a scratch in his hand was nothing.
Regina quickly did the same to Emma. She then took the couple's hands, joined them, and guided them over the potion, letting a few drops of blood fall in.
Regina nodded at Emma, letting her know it had worked. From what the spell said, it was all up to Emma now. Apparently, the reason one of them needed to have magic was because the one with powers needed to be the one to complete the spell.
Taking a breath to calm herself, Emma focused on what Regina had instructed her to do, and guided the liquid from the pot into a vial placed beside it. She flicked her hand toward it, and the potion turned from blue to yellow. Success.
Emma sighed in relief, and returned to Killian's side. Her mother walked over with two cloths for their hands.
"Perfect," Regina said, handing Jekyll the vial. "Drink from this, and we have our problem solved."
Jekyll smiled. "Thank you all so much for your help," and with that, he downed the potion.
Of course, in their lives, nothing as simple as a potion can solve a problem, evidently. Because instead of Jekyll being relatively un-phased, like they expected, Hyde appeared in his place.
"What's going on?" David demanded, putting a protective arm in front of his wife and grandson.
Hyde chuckled, "You didn't really think he was the original, did you? Oh no, your majesty. I came first." (The first person to crack a "that's what she said" joke gets a virtual pillow thrown at them. I tried to not make it sound like that but it's 1:30 in the morning I'm sorryyyyy) He smiled evilly, disappearing into a puff of grey smoke.
"Back to square one?" Henry asked from behind David.
"Back to square one," Emma replied, annoyance clear in her voice.
"I guess it's a good thing we didn't put those spell books away," Regina groaned.
