Expanding Part 2

I expanded on Expanding. (What is wrong with me and puns today omg) anyway, this is part 2 of Cate-Bayer's prompt! @Cleopatra1011 asked if I could write a part two about Emma telling the rest of the family that she's pregnant after telling Killian. I kind of only featured the Charmings, but let's just say that everyone else reacted much better...

Telling her parents had been interesting.

Emma and Killian had only been dating five months when Emma had fallen pregnant so she didn't exactly expect her parents to approve, but what actually happened was probably one of the most awkward things that had ever happened in Emma's life.

Emma had insisted on not making a big deal, so when she and Killian went over for dinner one night, Emma had casually mentioned the fact that Neal would have another niece of nephew soon.

Snow spit out her drink and David got up to stare murderously at Killian.

Emma sort of expected this, but she couldn't help but laugh lightly as she rose to put her ands on her father's shoulder and force him to sit down.

David growled. Her father, Prince Charming, growled. At who, she wasn't sure, but when she saw Killian flash a smug grin at David out of the corner of her eye, she decided it was probably directed at him.

"Dad...?" Emma asked, trying her best no to smile.

"Who's the father?" David demanded.

"What?!? Is that... Is that even a question? I think the answer to that is very obvious! I- What?!?" Emma was starting to regret telling her parents.

This time, Killian was the one to spit out his drink. Though he was laughing.

"Well," Mary Margaret said, "We're just making sure. So, what about a December wedding?" She asked cheerily.

"Excuse me?!?" Emma's face was surely turning red.

"I'm gonna have to agree with Emma on that one... What?!?" Killian asked, wiping up the beer that had ended up on the table.

"You knocked up my daughter, pirate. The least you can do is marry her before she has the baby!" David said angrily.

"Dad! We've been together five months! Isn't that a bit fast?" Emma tried to reason.

"My thoughts exactly!" David retorted.

"Oh my god."

"Mate-" Killian tried.

"Do not "mate" me. You've already done enough of that to my daughter, Hook!"

"Oh my god!!!!! Dad!!!"

Killian started laughing again.

Emma hit his arm. Hard. He was not helping at all.

"David, you seem to forget, that I had a kid thirteen years ago! I don't need you protect me. Killian and I have discussed this. We're ready. We don't need to get married to be ready, even though that's what you're used to where we're from," Emma said gently.

David simply grunted in reply.

They finished their meal in awkward silence.

A month later, Killian proposed.

Of course Emma said yes, but they weren't getting married any time soon.

The only reason he proposed was because after the ultrasound, David had forced him to.

Because Emma wasn't having one baby.

She was having twins.
