"Love is hope. It fuels our dreams." -Belle French

"I have not spent my life losing you. I've spent my life finding you." -Belle French
"True Love, Miss Swan. The only magic powerful enough to transcend realms and break any curse." -Rumplestiltskin
"You're sure this will work?" Killian questioned Regina and Rumple, still not completely convinced by their plan.
"Probably... Relax or it won't though," Regina rolled her eyes, pushing Killian to sit on the bed in the back of the pawn shop.
"How do we even know that Emma is under a sleeping curse? How can we be sure that this will work?"
"Look, even if it doesn't, we'll find her and get Henry to kiss her. The Dark One curse will be broken and then she'll wake you up with True Love's Kiss," Regina said, "Now lay down. We're wasting time."
Killian hesitated but obliged. If there was even the slightest chance that this could work and that he'd get his Swan back, he was willing to take it.
"You're going to need this," Rumple handed him a necklace with a round pendant attached. "It will protect you from the flames."
The former Dark One had woken up shortly after he lost his powers and had been making an effort to do good ever since.
It had already been six weeks since the night that Killian lost his Swan. He didn't give up for a second of it. Emma wasn't dead, her name on the dagger proved that, but she didn't appear when they summoned her.
After weeks of research, Belle concluded that the only possibility was that she was under a sleeping curse. After a few short hours of planning, Killian, Regina, Rumple, Henry, Mary Margaret and David gathered in the pawn shop to put Killian under a sleeping curse too.
The plan was complicated, and Killian struggled to pay attention, but he got the gist of it. Find Emma in the fiery hell world, kiss her, and hope that they'd both appear, awake and alive in Gold's shop. Breaking two curses at once was a long shot. Rumple explained that for that to happen, him and Emma would need to be far more than the simple True Love, or even Soulmates. They'd need to be the nearly unattainable "Destined Lovers, made of the same heart, they'd meet and fall in love in any realm, any version of reality. The truest of True Love and the only kind exclusive to romantic love" As Rumple had said. Killian didn't understand the difference, and while he had complete faith in their love, he wondered if their fates could really be that closely knit.
His concern wasn't whether or not he'd survive this, because a life without Emma wasn't a life worth living, it was whether or not they could really attain the status of True Love, Soulmates and Destined Lovers all in one day, all in one kiss. It was whether or not Emma would even be okay with that.
"Hook!" Regina called, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"What?" He replied, quietly and tiredly.
"I asked you four times if you were ready," she said in exasperation.
"Yeah, sure," he nodded, still laying down and looking at Emma's family.
David sat down beside him and gave him a stern look.
"Bring my daughter back, pirate," he instructed.
Killian nodded. "I'll do my best."
David smiled ever so slightly and got up, joining his wife and grandson.
"Okay," Regina said, "just prick your finger on this needle and the you'll be under the curse."
Killian glanced at Henry, who had a worried expression, then at Mary Margaret and David who looked hopeful. Rumple looked apologetic and Regina, annoyed.
Regina held the needle in front of him. He raised his shaky hand and connected in with the sharp needle. He barely felt the pain before darkness consumed him.
It could have been seconds, or hours, or years, but his eyes shot open. He looked around, realizing he was in the fiery room that David, Mary Margaret and Henry had described.
Killian quickly rose and looked around frantically for any sign of Emma.
"Swan! Emma?" He called, walking toward the flames, which parted for him, thanks to the pendant. No answer.
Then something caught his eye. Sitting in a corner free of flames, was a dark figure with bright golden hair that Killian would recognize anywhere.
"Emma!" He called, running towards her.
When he got to Emma, sitting down beside her, she looked up with tearful eyes. Killian could see Emma processing what was going on before she surged forward into his arms, tackling him backwards, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and holding him as close to her as possible. Killian wrapped his arms around her waist and they stayed like that for a moment, just revelling in the fact that they were back in each other's arms.
"Why are you here?" Emma sobbed into his neck.
"You left before I could tell you something," Killian joked, trying to calm her down.
Emma pulled back to look at him, a small smile forming on her lips. Killian gently wiped away her tears and placed his hand on her cheek.
"I love you too," he said.
Emma smiled and leaned into his hand, gazing at him with a happy expression. She placed her hand over his that still rested on her cheek and leaned forward, connecting their lips in a soft and sweet, yet desperate kiss.
Neither of them even felt the wind, or the fact that they were now making out on an old bed in front of Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, and Emma's son. Not until David cleared is throat loudly.
"Emma!" Her mother cried, running to her. Killian stepped back, standing with Regina and Rumple as Emma was reunited with her family.
"How long was I out?" Killian asked Regina quietly.
"Two hours," she said, "Pretty fast."
Killian smiled, taking a deep breath. It worked. Emma was okay. They'd done it. They were True Love of the purest kind.
Emma returned his side, sliding her arm around his waist. He did the same and they all left the pawn shop, heading to Granny's.
It was there, an hour later in a corner booth when they finally got to sit alone, after Emma had been welcomed back by pretty much the whole town that she asked him about what happened.
"Okay, so I get the general idea, True Love's Kiss broke the curse, but Rumple told me there's more to it than that? What did he mean?" She asked, leaning against him.
"He means there were two curses. The Dark One curse and the sleeping curse. He called it Destined Lovers. Extremely rare and extremely powerful. Clearly, we're it, or we'd still be stuck in that other realm," Killian said with the faintest smirk gracing his lips.
Emma chuckled. "Good. I missed you so much," she confessed.
Killian leaned down and pressed his lips to her forehead. "I love you, Emma. I love you more than you know. If you leave me again, I don't know what I'd do, Swan."
"I won't, I promise. I love you too," Emma leaned up to connect their lips in a reassuring kiss. "My True Love, my Soulmate, my Destined Lover," she laughed. Killian joined in, his heart swelling in his chest. He had her back and nothing would ever separate them again.
