Based on Jennifer Morrison's comments about how much Emma loves Killian.
Killian Jones.
That man was truly amazing. He'd managed to burst through Emma's walls, to get straight to her heavily guarded heart even before he'd spoken a word to her. That in itself was a true feat.
However, the real accomplishment was how he's made a lost girl, someone who never thought she could love of feel at home again, feel so utterly important. When Emma was around Killian, she felt so loved, so at home in his arms. She felt like the most important person in the world. He made her feel special in a way that she'd never felt before.
Emma wasn't sure when she fell in love with him. Perhaps it was when he told her he was a survivor, followed by a heated kiss in the middle of the street. Maybe it was when he admitted to trading his ship for her, or when he'd almost drowned in that well. Or maybe it was before all that drama of the missing year. Could it have been when he saved her father in Neverland? Or even before that, on the beanstalk? No, she was pretty sure it was when he followed her into the past. Though, she certainly had strong feelings for him long before that.
She was sure when she realized that she was in love with him though. It was after their first date, after kissing him in the hallways outside the loft, that she stood speechless against the door before her parents questioned her on her night. That was the moment she realized that this was real. She was in love again. That was the moment she knew she was one hundred percent screwed.
Over the six weeks of peace before Cruella, Ursula and Maleficent, Emma fell further and further for Killian. They grew closer and Emma became less afraid of what they had. A future with him was something she could see happening. She remembered those words from what seemed like years ago. "Let me guess, with you?" Maybe she'd known, even back then...
There were a few times she almost told him her true feelings. After Killian told her she was his happy ending, Emma kissed him to stop herself from ruining what they had. It was too special and last time she told a man she loved him, he'd left her. She almost let it slip when they said goodbye, before she left for New York to find Lily. Again at the docks after she returned. After watching him die, when she told Regina it felt good to admit. However telling him was harder and she was so close to saying it, but seeing Killian smile made her fall even more and she just couldn't lose this, ever. Emma finally, finally said it right before becoming the Dark One. He deserved to know if he never saw her again.
When she was the Dark One, he was one of her main reasons to fight the darkness. She knew he loved her and she knew he would be fighting for her, and so Emma fought too. Her pure adoration for Killian pulled her through, gave her light.
Then, he found her. She didn't know how long it took, but falling into his arms felt like coming home even though she was still trapped in Camelot.
The curse being broken was a blur. It happened so quickly in a mess of tears, mumbled confessions and I miss you's that all Emma remembered was soft lips and the buzz of magic under her skin. Suddenly, it felt like a weight was lifer from her shoulders as Killian kissed her again.
After that, Emma took every opportunity to remind Killian how much she loved him. He did the same. Whether it was a casual greeting in the morning, an emotional, comforting statement, or a promise, they made sure to tell each other at least twice a day, usually more.
Killian was Emma's light. He was her world and her True Love. He took away the feelings of uncertainty and fear and he turned them into happiness. They had a love so true, intense and passionate that Emma could finally feel wanted, loved and safe with him.
Killian Jones was truly a miracle and Emma Swan loved him so much for it.
