Happy Endings

What would have happened if the captain swan kiss in the season 3 finale broke Regina's curse once and for all, sending everyone back to the Enchanted Forest? (Emma never saved Mirian and Killian didn't bring Elsa back with them)

While Emma and Killian kissed, they felt a gust of wind. Emma stopped the kiss and looked at Killain questioningly. "What was that?" She asked, breathing heavily.

Before Killian could answer, the two were standing in he middle of a forest. Everyone that was just in Granny's was behind them in their fairytale clothes. Confused, Emma looked down.

She was surprised to find out she was wearing a navy blue dress, covered by a dark red cloak. Killian was looking at her in amazement. "What just happened?" Emma asked Killian.

"I think we did it, Swan!" Killian exclaimed, "We broke the original curse for good! That was true love's kiss! We're home!" Killian took Emma's hand, leading her over to everyone else.

After awkwardly explaining what had just happened to everyone, Snow and Charming led them all to the palace. It was a short walk, but Emma and Killian took advantage of it.

They walked hand in hand, watching as Henry, who was dressed in adorable prince-like clothes asked Regina about how his being there was possible, as he commented on Regina's "evil queen" outfit and Snow and Charming looking like they do in the book.

When they arrived at the palace, everyone seemed happy. Most of them went to their old houses, but the individuals that didn't have homes, like Robin Hood stayed at the castle.

As snow and Charming showed the few people without a place to stay around the palace, giving them all extra rooms and promising to have homes built for them, Regina sulked about losing the palace. Emma and Killian were exploring the castle while Henry looked through his book, showing people pictures of the castle in it.

"So, we broke the curse," Emma said. "Yeah," Killian nodded. They were walking side by side down a hallway in the palace. "Emma, I don't want you to be upset about this. If you are..." Killian trailed off.

Emma shook her head. "No, I'm just shocked. Surprised but also sorry for being a jerk the past few days. I want to make it up to you," she looked down, ashamed for being so mean towards the pirate. "Well then, my princess, will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Killian said with his flirty smile and bowed to her.

"Of course," Emma said, blushing. They shared a long, passionate kiss before finding their way back through the maze of hallways, arms linked, to the main part where they found everyone talking.

When Emma's parents saw the couple, they smiled. "Emma, you know what happens now, right?" Snow asked, holding Neal. "No, what?" Emma replied. "Well, technically, we're the king and queen, making you the princess," Charming said.

Emma nodded slightly. "Yeah, I got that. So what? I live here with you guys, being addressed as 'your majesty and princess' because that's gonna take some getting used to," Emma laughed, playing with her brother's hand.

"Well, actually... There's a palace south of here that's been empty for years. It's of similar size to this one. If you want, you can be the ruler of the kingdom it's in," Snow smiled.

Emma wasn't sure if she wanted that. She was never a princess before now, she didn't know how to rule a kingdom! Then again, everyone that lived in Storybrooke looked up to her. All those people were here.

"I'll think about it," she said, looking up into Killian's blue eyes, silently asking him a question: "wanna be a king?" Killian smiled in return.

"Great. Listen we'll talk later, okay? We need to sort out some confusion. Do you mind, um, watching Neal for a bit? Some people are scared and we need to make sure they know what's going on," Charming asked.

Emma nodded, happy to take care of her brother. "Thank you!" Snow said, handing Neal to Emma. Her and Killian took a walk in the garden, Neal in Emma's arms.

"So what do you think about that offer, Swan?" Killian asked her after a while. "I don't know. I mean I can't be a queen!" She said. "Why not? So many people look up to you. I think you could," Killian said.

"Killian, I don't know," Emma sighed. "Think about it, okay?" Killain smiled, holding Emma's hand. She took his advice and after three weeks of, as Snow called it, "Princess Training" Emma decided to take up their offer.

She and Killian moved into the palace in the south kingdom. Snow and Charming became King and Queen of the North kingdom. Regina went back to the kingdom she was born in, married Robin soon after and they ruled there, often visiting their friends in the Northern and Southern kingdoms.

Life in the enchanted forest was restored and with no villains and all the kingdoms getting along, it was perfect. Henry took horse riding lessons as he was a prince after all, and enjoyed traveling between the kingdoms to visit all of his family members, including his Grandfather, Rumplestiltskin and step grandmother, Belle.

Rumple and Belle welcomed a baby boy named Aaron Bealfire into their lives a year later. His middle name obviously after his late brother. Aaron grew up to be an amazing man. A hero, who reminded so many of his older brother. Rumple became a better man and though he wasn't perfect, made up for past faults.

Emma and Killian got married soon after Aaron's birth. It became a joke between the two of them that when Killian called Emma "Swan" she'd correct him, saying "It's Jones," The two welcomed their daughter, Kaitlin, ten months after their wedding and a few days before Henry's 15th birthday. Kaitlin was a beautiful girl who had her mother's blonde hair and her father's charm. Though she inherited both her parents' stubbornness and sass, she made an excellent princess and when the time came, Queen of the Southern kingdom.

Regina and Robin never had any children together, but both got their happy endings with Roland and Henry. Henry grew up to rule his grandparents' kingdom when the time came. He was a dashing prince. He was seen as a hero throughout the realm.

The story of the town of Storybrooke was always remembered and passed down through generations of Enchanted Forest folk. Queen Snow, King Charming, Queen Emma, King Killian, Queen Regina, King Robin and Prince Henry, were remembered forever as heroes. Rumplestiltskin and Belle, who lived much longer than the others as Rumple made Belle and Aaron immortal, just like himself, told their stories with pride for generations.

In the end, everyone got their happy ending.
