It had only been a week.

Killian had never known how much could happen in a week until Emma left.

He sat on the floor of his cabin in the Jolly Roger, his rum flask in his hand, tears in his eyes and a headache that hadn't seemed to go away since he drank himself to sleep that first night.

David came to check on his at least once a day. Sometimes, they'd share the rum.

No one was doing well. Everyone missed Emma and it seemed that without their saviour, hope was scarce in Storybrooke.

That first week was the worst. Arguments between the Charmings were common. Killian and Regina would sit in the loft, trying to plan a way to get her back, but they'd get nowhere because Mary Margaret and David were busy fighting over watermelons.

They'd tried summoning her with the dagger, but she hadn't shown up. Regina said she was likely in another realm, too far away to respond.

Henry seemed to be the only one who kept a smile on his face, calming his grandparents when their issues commenced. He checked on Rumplestiltskin daily. The one thing everyone was sure of was that they'd need his help to get Emma back. But, of course, he was still in his coma of sorts with no sign of awakening any time soon.

After nearly a month, things began to get easier. Henry had been spending so much time with Killian that his positive outlook was beginning to rub off on him and honestly, it was so much less emotionally draining. He began to sleep again, he would smile more often, he'd put the rum away and he was fighting again. Even though he still missed Emma, he had hope again.

Soon thereafter, he received a phone call in the middle of the night.

He didn't recognize the number but when he answered, the voice on the other end nearly made him drop his phone.

"Killian," a sob came from the other end, the voice unmistakably belonging to Emma Swan.

For a moment, he was silent out of shock. Then he gathered himself and spoke, "E-Emma? Emma what-"

"I'm in New York. I just missed you so much, it's been so long, and I had to talk to you,"

"Swan, you've no idea how much I miss you too. We all miss you. You need to come back into the town, Love,"

"No, I can't! Here, I don't have to worry about being the Dark One. I'm me! There... There's no telling what might happen if I return. I called you because I need you. Please come see me, Killian, I can't... I can't go another day without you and Henry," her voice sounded small and scared, like a child's.

"Okay, Swan. We'll be there as soon as we can," He promised.

"Killian?"

"Aye,"

"I love you,"

"I love you too," he said before hanging up.

In the morning, he'd tell her parents and they'd leave to see her, but right now, he tried to get some sleep so he would be able to enjoy his time with her. They'd find a way to bring her back.
