Killian and Emma had only been dating three months when he first confronted David about marriage.
"Killian," He'd said, "as much as I know she loves you, I think you should wait longer. Things are different in the Enchanted Forest, but here, we wait longer."
Killian had been crushed but he understood.
He didn't ask again until it had been nine months and they'd shared three true love's kisses.
This time, David grudgingly obliged.
Killian had wasted no time at all in running down to the docks to find Emma.
He'd gotten a ring ages ago.
As he approached, Emma smiled, but she gasped when he got down on one knee.
"Emma Swan-"
"Yes!" She exclaimed before he could proceed.
He chuckled and got up, placing the ring on her finger.
"Forever, yes," she said before kissing him.
