Missing scene during 5x16 because Emma and Killian literally sat on that couch the entire episode and I wanted at least a little bit of fluff. Apparently I have to do everything around here.

Zelena was here. Of course she was. Killian wished he was surprised, but hell's population of the living seemed to be increasing at a steady rate.
Of course the witch would show up now. It wasn't like they didn't already have enough to deal with. They certainly needed a post-natal family crisis to top it all off.
Killian just wanted to spend time with his goddamn girlfriend. He'd missed her over the past few months, between Camelot, being the dark ones, and you know, dying.
Apparently, spending time with one's true love in the underworld meant making small talk over researching maps of hell and complaining about villains that should be dead.
Once Regina and Robin left the loft with Zelena, Killian sighed, dropping down on the couch dramatically.
Emma let out a breathy laugh, keeping her focus on the pile of maps that lay before them. "Alright, drama queen, what is it?"
Killian smiled at her nonchalance of the situation.
"Oh, you know, I just miss when the Wicked Witch wasn't the source of nearly all of our problems," he replied, turning his head to half-grin at Emma.
"I'm with you on that," Emma said with a sigh, turning a map over.
"I also miss my Swan..." He said a bit quieter.
Emma let out a short breath, closing her eyes, before turning to face Killian. He could see tears brimming her eyes.
"I'm sorry, Emma, but the conversation had to arise eventually."
"I don't remember the last time you called me that, actually," Emma laughed nervously. "I miss you too," she said, reaching out to hold his hand.
Killian squeezed her hand and moved closer to her, putting his hooked arm around her. Emma leaned into him, resting her head on his chest. The fact that the usually steady thump there was nothing but silence did not escape her.
"Emma, I just want you to know that everything that happened in Storybrooke when we returned from Camelot, everything I said... I didn't mean a word," he said after a moment of silence.
"You told me you loved me..." Emma looked up at him, her expression unreadable even to Killian.
"Aye. That I meant, and for the record, I'd gladly be a lovesick puppy dog if it meant being yours, Swan."
Emma laughed at that. "When's the last time I told you I love you?" She asked, looking up at him through her eyelashes.
"Right before-" he started, but she interrupted him, realizing it was right before she killed him.
"Well I love you," she sighed, burying herself deeper in his chest.
"I love you too, Emma, more than you'll ever know," he pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head.
After another few minutes of silence, just enjoying each other's company, Emma spoke up. "How did we end up like this?" she asked.
"Like what, love? Together, or stranded in hell?" He asked, a slight sadness to his tone.
"So broken," she laughed, a hint of bitterness lacing her voice, "In the past two months, you've died three times, we've broken up at least twice, I killed you..." she trailed off.
"Hey, we never broke up," he smiled down teasingly at her, pulling her closer to him with a protective arm around her shoulder.
"You straight up told me you didn't love me and and that you wanted me dead... I'm pretty sure that counts as a breakup," Emma giggled.
"If it helps, that was bullshit," Killian replied.
"I know," she looked up at him with a bright smile and pressed a quick kiss to his lips.
"I just want to go home. I want to be happy. I want to live in that house you picked out. I want to be a family... I want it all," she said dreamily.
"It sounds like you also want a nap, love," Killian pressed a kiss to her hair. "Sleep, Emma."
"No, we have to figure out where Hades is."
"Hades can wait. You need rest," he said, gently taking the map she held and picking her up bridal style.
"Up to bed, you go!"
"Put me down, you ridiculous pirate," Emma laughed, a genuine smile on her face. It was the first time in a while he'd seen her truly happy.
"No can do, Swan! I believe the princess is in need of a nap."
"What if Hades shows up while I'm asleep?" She asked, seriousness returning to her voice.
"Then I will be in charge of waking up a grumpy Emma," he teased. "I'll be sure to wake you, I promise. Now rest for a bit," he said, reaching the top of the stairs and placing her on the bed with a kiss to her cheek.
Before he could return downstairs, she reached out to catch his wrist. "Stay with me? Please?" She sounded so small.
Killian nodded and sat beside her, outstretching his legs and leaning against the backboard of the bed. Emma wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest.
"Thank you," she whispered sleepily, closing her eyes.
"I love you," he whispered into her hair.
"Love you too," she mumbled back before sleep finally took her.
Sure, they were in the underworld, and he was dead, but Killian revelled in the little victory that was getting his Swan to take a well-deserved nap.
They were going to be okay.
