"So he hit you?" Adeline nodded numbly, it was the next morning and she sat explaining everything to her best friend, "honestly Addie, I know you love him but you were so much happier before you were with him. I just think he's not the one."

"He has to be." The brunette spoke weakly, curling her bed covers to her chest, "I'm wearing his claim."

"You're not forced to be with him Addie." Daphne told her softly from beside her, "if he doesn't make you happy, leave him and find someone that does."

"I can't!" Adeline cried out, "it's not that simple Daphne, I don't want to."

"Well let's stop moping around then," Daphne smiled, pulling the girls arm and dragging her over to the bathroom, forcing her through the door, "you've got a Hogsmede trip to get ready for."

Adeline sighed, sitting on the toilet as Daphne turned on a tap, letting the bathtub fill up with warm water, "bubbles?" The blonde shook her head, toying with the claim necklace, the jewellery glimmering magically in the bathroom lighting, "I still think you should dump him." Daphne voiced her opinion, noticing the girls actions.

"Stop it Daphne." Adeline spoke in exhaustion, voice raw from the sobs.

"I'll be on my bed if you need anything," Daphne spoke to her softly, smiling fondly at her best friend as she finished up the bath.

"Thank you, Daphne." Adeline forced a smile back at her friend and sighed as she looked around the now empty room. Sighing, the girl stripped off her clothing and submerged her weary frame into the water.

The brunette sat numbly in the water, half debating weather or not to dip her head below the surface and keep it there. Everything in her life was falling to pieces, her relationship was on the rocks, her family life was completely unstable. The girl hated to admit it, however the only people she could rely on seemed to be Daphne and Harry.

"Addie!" Daphne yelled behind the door, "hurry up or we'll miss breakfast."

Sighing the teen quickly washed her body, hands running over her protruding rib cage. She shivered as she stepped out of the water, the cold dungeon air slipping into the bathroom. The brunette decided on a cream, thigh length knit dress with a turtleneck. She paired it with a sheer pair of black tights and a pair of chunky knee high black leather boots.

Grabbing a plain black shoulder bag, the girl shoved the invisibility cloak into it, along with a large bag of money and pushing her wand into her boot. She smiled at Daphne as she exited the bathroom and the pair descended down the Slytherin stairs. Instinctively, Adeline's eyes flashed around the room, trying to find the bright mop of blonde hair and frowning when she realised he wasn't in the common room.

"So who are you going to Hogsmede with today?" Daphne asked in confusion, "it's not Draco so who is it?"

"I can't tell you." Adeline sighed deeply, "I wish I could honestly, but it's for business, I wish I could, honestly Daphne."

"It's okay." Her best friend smiled, "I get it, don't worry, at least sit with me on the way there then?" Adeline laughed and nodded in agreement, the pair finally reaching the Great Hall and sitting down at the Slytherin table. Adeline grabbed a slice of toast, heavily buttering it and crunching the bread loudly.

"Oh no." Daphne spoke, "look whose here." Adeline's head turned towards the entrance, finally seeing the bright blonde hair. Instantly, the teen returned her attention back to her food as he walked straight past the pair, sitting himself at the very end of the table, alone, staring down at the oak wood table, an unnatural pale hue to his complexion.

"He looks rather ill doesn't he?" Adeline spoke, looking at the boy who hadn't touched any of the food, "can we go Daphne? I'm suddenly not hungry anymore."
