Later the next day, the select few who had chosen the subject, had potions. Adeline and Draco along with Theo and Pansy all had qualified for the class, so were roped into the lesson. Walking down the dungeon corridor, Adeline scrunched her nose as an oddly familiar smell wafted through it."Draco, you're wearing an awful lot of aftershave today aren't you?" She commented, "all I can smell is mint and apple."
"You're joking aren't you?" The boy scoffed, "all I can smell is your perfume, orchids and roses." He looked towards their other companion, "Theo what can you smell?"
The boy paused for a moment, pondering over the scent that caught his nose, "flowers." He replied briefly, "I smell flowers. what about you Pansy?"
"I don't know." The girl shrugged absentmindedly, although her senses were being overwhelmed by the strong pungent of mint.
The trio strolled into the potions classroom, the mint fragrance only becoming stronger for Adeline.
"Ha," Draco chuckled, pointing at the girl, "if me and Theo smell the same thing then surely there's something wrong with your senses."
From the corner of her eye, Adeline saw a bushy haired girl let out a scoff of laughter at the group. The Charm, narrowed her eyes.
"Something funny, Granger?" She spat at the lone Gryffindor, making her shake her head.
"You'll find out soon enough."
"Potions is looking rather dead this year." Adeline instead changed the topic, looking around at the four Ravenclaws, the lone Granger Gryffindor and a lone Hufflepuff Adeline knew as Ernie Macmillan, this brought the total to only ten students.
"Oh Merlin," Draco groaned, "look what the cat dragged in." Adeline's eyes shot towards the door, a glare instantly taking her expression as Weasley and Potter entered through it.
"Surprised you're allowed in here, Potter." Adeline commented loudly, "this class is for 'Outstanding' students only."
"Actually," a familiar voice chimed in, walking through the door, "Slughorn accepted students who got an 'Exceeding Expectations' Addie."
"Blaise!" Adeline yelled loudly, laughing as the tanned boy strutted into the room, walking over to the Slytherin group.
"Blimey," The boy commented in disgust, "it reeks of roses in here."
Again, Granger let out a bark of laughter and the group turned to shoot glares at her. Shrugging the smell off, Adeline decided to perch herself onto a desk, the rest of her group following shortly after.
"Good afternoon, class!" A jolly voice boomed as they entered the classroom, "Zabini! How wonderful to see you!" His eyes wavered as they landed on the girl, his greeting hesitant "Charm, I hope you're doing better today. Harry! My boy!"
"Now then, Now then" Slughorn repeated, as he attempted to settle the class, "scales out everyone, potion kits on the desk with your copies of Advanced Potion Making-"
"Sir." The Slytherins rolled their eyes as an embarrassed Harry Potter raised his arm, "I haven't got a book or scales or anything. Ron doesn't either, we didn't realise we'd be able to take the N.E.W.T you see-"
