"You're Draco Malfoy." A brave first year told the boy as him and Adeline lead the first year Slytherins towards the dungeons."Yes. I am?" Draco replied questioningly, "how do you know that?"
"And you're Adeline Charm!" The first year ignored Draco's question as he hounded in on the girl, "I've read about you! You're related to Salazar Slytherin himself, that's why so many people in this school call you the Slytherin Princess!"
"What?" Adeline asked in horror, "people call me the Slytherin Princess?" Se focused her attention on Draco, "why have I never heard about this before?"
"They call me the prince too." Draco replied smugly, "we're the prince and princess of Slytherin."
"That's the stupidest, most cheesiest thing I've ever heard." Adeline replied bluntly and honestly, not amused by her houses labels.
"The password is pureblood." Adeline informed the first years, "if you forget it you won't be allowed in so don't forget it, I don't want Snape on my back for something so stupid."
"Who's Snape?" Another first year asked, and Adeline had to fight hard to suppress the groan as a wave of fury and annoyance built up inside of her.
"He's our head of house." Draco stepped in, noticing Adeline was at her snapping point with these children, "he teaches potions and he isn't particularly pleasant to first years so don't step out of line."
"Exactly." Adeline nodded her head at Draco "now girl's dormitories are on the left, boy's on the right, girl's are not allowed in the boy's dormitories, boy's are not allowed in the girl's dormitories. If I catch any of you trying to get into the opposite sex's dorm I will report you to Professor Snape immediately. Do I make myself clear?"
Adeline's authoritative tone must have worked because a faint murmur of 'yes' wafted through the first years.
"Good." She nodded with a small smile on her face, "breakfast finishes at 8:30 in the morning so if you want breakfast and your timetable you best make sure you're there on time."
"Any questions or complaints you come to us or Professor Snape." Draco informed them, "now go."
Adeline sighed deeply, rubbing her temple as the first years scampered off to the respected dorms, "I don't know how long I'll be able to maintain composure around these annoying little-"
"We've got a party to go to." Draco interrupted, grabbing Adeline's wrist and dragging her out the Slytherin common room.
"You know Malfoy, I am perfectly capable of walking myself." Adeline remarked as he dragged her along, his tight grip on her becoming increasingly painful.
As if snapping out of a trance, Draco suddenly dropped the small girl's wrist, not looking back at her as he stopped before a portrait of a snake.
"God, you two took your time didn't you." Pansy complained, "we've been stood out here for nearly twenty minutes!"
"Have you two been snogging or something?" Blaise joked, "is that why you took so long?"
"No!" Adeline shouted defensively, "just some first years not knowing when to shut their mouths. Did you know people actually have the nerve to call me the 'Slytherin Princess' like what the hell?"
"Enough of this guys." Daphne smiled widely, gesturing to Montague who had recruited a few house elves to carry bottles of alcohol, "it's time to get smashed."
"Is it really a good idea to get wasted on the first night back?" Theodore Nott asked quietly.
"Theo its a Friday." Draco told him, "we don't have classes until Monday, now is the perfect time to get wasted."
"Mudblood." Adeline proudly announced as the snake flung open, revealing to the group the Slytherin prefect dorm.
"Wow." Pansy gasped, looking at the roaring fireplace in awe, dashing towards one of the silk green couches, sighing as her body met with the soft plush.
"It's beautiful." Adeline gazed at the emerald walls and chandelier.
"Lucky bastards." Daphne scoffed, throwing her body down onto a beanbag, "this dorm is stunning."
"Yeah and it's all ours." Draco winked at Adeline, "who knows maybe we'll be fucking on this couch in a few months."
"Draco Malfoy!" Adeline screeched, a red tinge slowly enveloping her face, "manners! Narcissa did not raise you to say things like that!"
"Give her a few shots of fire whisky and she won't be saying that." Blaise laughed as he picked up his own bottle of fire whisky removing the cap and taking a swig, his face scrunching up, "still tastes like shit." He coughed.
"I'm going to need something a bit stronger than fire whisky if I want to survive tonight." Adeline muttered, picking up a bottle of clear liquid, "vodka?"
"It's a muggle alcohol" Montague explained, "strong as fuck."
Adeline grinned and forced the cap off, taking a swig and immediately regretting it, "Oh my god." She coughed loudly, squeezing her eyes shut, "it's strong alright."
And so she took another swig.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Pansy squealed loudly, words starting to slur together as her bottle of fire whisky sloshed around.
"Ok." Daphne giggled, also slurring, "Pansy truth or dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to.... kiss Crabbe." Pansy gave a look of disgust as said boy looked up in disbelief, his second bottle of fire whisky holding only dregs.
"Ok." Pansy shrugged, she had kissed half of the year groups male population, this wouldn't be too much of a challenge.
Adeline screeched loudly, giggling madly as Pansy forced her mouth onto Crabbe, the pair becoming enthralled into a heated make out session.
"Draco." Pansy asked him breathlessly after separating from Crabbe, "truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"You boring sod!" Adeline yelled, words slurring as she took another sip of the vodka, to which she had grown more accustomed to.
"Are you attracted to anyone in this room?" Pansy fluttered her lashed at the only slightly tipsy boy as he sighed and took a swig of fire whisky.
"Yes." He admitted, "fucking hell I need something stronger than this." Draco eyed up the bottle in Adeline's grip before leaning across the circle the group had created and snatched it from her.
"Hey!" She whined loudly, a pout on her face, "that's mine."
"Not anymore." Draco grumbled, taking a swig for himself and coughing loudly, much like Adeline herself had done.
"Draco!" The whole group yelled, laughing as the boy choked on the strong alcohol.
"That is disgusting." He grimaced, looking at the labels on the bottle, "here, have it back." He thrust the bottle back into Adeline's hands, who accepted it gratefully, and wiped his mouth on the back of his own hand.
"Your turn Draco!" Blaise hollered, "ask someone!"
"Adeline." Draco stared at her, "truth or dare."
"Dare." Adeline narrowed her eyes and licked her lips teasingly, "try me."
"I dare you to kiss me."
