Adeline smirked widely, eyeing up the pathetic excuse for the Slytherin quidditch team tryouts. With a secured place as a chaser already on the team, the girl could sit back and confidently watch as Draco screamed at the nervous Slytherins, trying out for either a spot as their new chaser or beater.Adeline's parents did not know the girl was on the team, they dubbed quidditch as a 'boy's sport' and Adeline was certainly not a boy. However, here she was, adorned in custom Slytherin quidditch robes, embellished with jewels and the most expensive broom money can buy, also embellished with jewels clutched in her grip. Adeline Charm was growing rather obsessed with sparkly, shiny objects and it was becoming quite a problem.
"Listen up!" Draco yelled at the group of teens, "today is one of the most important days of your life! This try-out determines weather you will be a star, flying around, playing for the winning team; or a loser, dammed to watch us stars in the stands."
"We're looking for the best." Adeline interrupted, feeling a rush of satisfaction that power over people brought her, "we don't want nice. We want strong willed players that will do whatever it takes to win." The girl examined her perfectly manicured nails, "even if it means bashing a few heads in and getting bloody. We are Slytherins." She snarled at the group, laughing coldly as a few of the younger players shrinked back in fear, "and Slytherins win."
"Thank you for your necessary input Charm." Draco sneered sarcastically at the girl and she frowned softly, a small part of her longing for her and the boy to see eye to eye.
"Today, you're going to be pushed to your limits. Don't say I didn't warn you." Adeline swore she saw a younger Slytherin turn sheet white, "20 laps of the pitch, go." Draco clapped his hands and in an instant a flash of green and silver shot across the sky.
Adeline saw her opportunity, now the pair were alone "Draco, I need to talk to-"
"Save it." Draco turned to hear, connecting his mesmerising grey eyes with her own sparking blue ones, for once the girl couldn't read them, as he begged to her "please Charm, please just let me get through this."
"But Draco, you need to understand that Blaise... he took advantage-"
"I said stop it!" Adeline shrunk away from him then, too afraid to question his strong, demanding tone.
"Okay." She whispered softly and called for her broom, ascending into the sky to watch the group of Slytherins.
"Trouble in paradise?" A male voice sniggered as their broom came to a holt beside the girl.
"Montague." Adeline greeted, pleasantly. Graham Montague was a good two years older than the girl, tall, broad shoulders and well built like a chaser should be and he certainly wasn't unpleasant on the eyes with ebony hair, tanned skin and deep honey roasted eyes.
Adeline wasn't ashamed to admit she thought the older boy was quite attractive.
"What's happened?" He asked the girl in concern, the pair both looking at the blonde who seemed to be in a heated staring competition with the grass.
"You don't want to know." She groaned out, not willing to share her newly found sex life with an attractive boy, "I'm surprised you don't already know."
"Is it about the thing that happened with Zabini?" He asked innocently, causing Adeline to groan, a quick thought passing through her head weather or not to just jump off her broom now.
"Yeah." She shook her head, "and now he won't even look at me." She sighed, masking her feelings, "but it's not like I care, it's Malfoy."
Graham raised a brow, "you got awfully defensive there, Charm. You don't have to deny it, everyone know you two would be a power couple."
