The Charm daughter was abruptly awoken when a large slam rang out.

"What's wrong with this thing?" She faintly heard Blaise yell angrily. Opening her eyes, the teen whimpered as the boy repeatedly slammed the door, failing to close it.

"What's going on?" She mumbled, rubbing her eyes as she winced at the sound.

Suddenly, the door flew open, sending Blaise flying. Quickly, Draco pulled Adeline out of the way, onto his lap,. Instead, Blaise landed on Goyle.

Quickly, the boys found themselves into a heated argument, Adeline just blinking in confusion through her sleepy state. Adeline grew even more confused as her eyes landed on a pair of white trainers quickly climbing into the luggage rack, however as she looked up at Draco, she saw his eyes trained to the same. He nodded at her, showing he too had seen he feet.

Once Goyle and Blaise had settled, Draco wasted no time in pressing for questions about the lunch meeting.

"So, Zabini," Malfoy smirked,"what did Slughorn want with his little lunch date?"

"Licking the arses of well-connected people." Blaise scoffed, "ridiculous lot of filth he managed to round up."

"Who else did he invite?" Malfoy, "I know St Potter was there, that filthy half-blood."

"McLaggen, from Gryffindor." Blaise listed.

"His uncles big in the Ministry."

"Someone else called Belby from Ravenclaw, never heard of him mind."

"He's a right prat him," Adeline glowered, "thinks he's great just because he has a famous step-uncle or something."

"And then of course, Potter, Longbottom and that Weasley girl."

Draco suddenly burst into sporadic laughter, face turning red, "he invited Longbottom?!" The boy asked in disbelief, scoffing, "what's Longbottom got to interest Slughorn?" Blaise shrugged, "obviously he wanted to invite precious Potter so he could get a look at the Chosen One, but why the Weasley girl? What's so special about that blood traitor?"

"A lot of boys like her." Pansy spoke up, looking at Blaise, "even you think she's good-looking, don't you, Blaise, and we all know how hard you are to please."

"I wouldn't touch a filthy little blood traitor like her whatever she looked like." Blaise snapped coldly, making Adeline snort in amusement and send him a proud smile.

"I pity Slughorn's taste." Draco spoke, weaving a hand through Adeline's soft locks, "maybe he's cracking up? Shame, my father told me he was a very good wizard back in his day. In fact, my father used to be one of his favourites. Slughorn probably hasn't heard I'm on the train, or maybe-"

"I wouldn't hope for an invitation." Blaise glowered, "he asked about Nott's father as soon as Adeline left. Apparently, they used to be good friends or something, but when he heard he'd been caught at the Ministry he didn't look happy." Blaise looked at Theo sympathetically, "Theo didn't get an invitation did he? I don't think he's interested in Death Eaters."

"Why was I invited there then?" Adeline's thoughts slipped out of her mouth, quickly realising her mistake she changed her words, "I mean, because of my father and everything."

"He probably felt sympathy for you," Theo explained, "you don't have a father involved with the Dark Lord anymore so he assumes your family isn't involved with him anymore either."

"Who's saying we are involved?" Adeline shot back protectively, "just because father was, doesn't mean me and mother are."

"That's not what I'm saying," Theo sighed.
