Draco and Adeline sat with wide smirks on their faces as the rest of the Great Hall tucked into their welcoming feast.

"What are you two smirking at?" Blaise raised a brow, "you haven't wiped that expression off your faces since you walked into the Hall and it's starting to really get on my nerves."

"You've done something haven't you?" Theo asked suspiciously, "you're wearing your identical 'I'm up to no good' smirk."

"Always the observer, Theo." Adeline sighed, "but yes, we have. Look around, who's not here?"

The group looked around the tables in confusion, Crabbe sniggering as his gaze landed on the Gryffindors.

"Oi, where's Potter?" He asked, causing the group to look over at the Gryffindors, noticing Potters absence.

"What have you done this time?" Pansy sniggered, "there must be a reason Potter isn't here."

"Let's just say, if all went to plan, we won't be hearing from him anytime soon." Adeline giggled to Draco who looked at his friends proudly while they all gazed in amazement at the pair.

"Wait." Blaise furrowed his brows, "there's Snape and Potter." Adeline felt a glare form her expression as Potter entered the dining hall, however that was quickly replaced with a look of triumph as he clutched his bloody nose.

"What happened to his face?" Pansy scrunched up her face in disgust as blood trickled down the ebony haired boy's complexion.

"That was you, wasn't it?" Theo laughed, "did you punch him Draco, mate?"

"Something like that." Draco waved him off, scanning the table as the desserts started to appear, "Adeline pass me an apple, a green one."

"Are you not eating, Adeline?" Pansy asked in concern as the other female teen didn't reach for any dessert.

"I ate on the train, it's fine." The Charm cracked a half-smile that most of the group could see through. It didn't take a genius to know that Adeline in fact had not eaten on the train, "Be quiet, Dumbledore's speaking now."

"The very best of evenings to you all!" The headmaster yelled jollily, arms spread out wide.

"What happened to his hand?" Draco scrunched up his face in disgust as he stared at the black, shrivelled, disfigured flesh that was supposed to represent the mans right hand.

"There's nothing to worry about." The old man waved the children off, shaking his arm slightly so his large robes would cover the injury, "now, Mr Filch has asked me to say there is a strict ban on any joke items purchased at the store, Weasleys' Wizard Weezes."

Adeline sniggered, still remembering the 'You-No-Poo' sign on the front of their shop. She may hate the Weasley's but she couldn't deny those twins were amusing.

"Also, we are pleased to welcome a new member of staff this year, Professor Slughorn." The man from on the train arose, smiling as his frail hand waved delicately to the students, "the Professor is an old colleague of mine who has agreed to resume his old post as potions master."

Adeline's head shot up as she looked to the teachers table, meeting the eye of a widely smirking Snape, looking widely proud of himself at the students whispering about him.

"Professor Snape meanwhile, will be taking over the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher."

"Yes Professor!" Adeline yelled, standing up clapping as the Slytherins broke into a burst of cheers, the rest of the hall looking at them in disgust.

"Yes, yes," Dumbledore chuckled, "that's quite enough, Miss Charm," Adeline didn't shy away at the mention of her name, simply beamed in pride up at her god-father/head of house/ Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.

"Now, as everyone in this hall knows, Lord Voldemort and his followers are once more at large and gaining strength." Suddenly, Adeline's bright mood turned downhill as she looked away from Dumbledore, noticing Draco similarly copying her actions, "I cannot emphasise strongly enough how dangerous the present situation is, and how much care each of us at Hogwarts that we remain safe."

"He's talking like Voldemort's going to burst in the doors and kill us now." Adeline faintly heard a nearby student whisper.

"I'm sure you all noticed that the castles magical fortifications have been strengthened over the summer. Therefore, I urge you to abide by any security rules or restrictions that might be imposed upon you, in particular, the rule that you are not to be out of bed after hours. Finally, if you do notice anything strange or suspicious, within or outside the castle walls I ask you to report it to a member of staff immediately to ensure all our safety."

Adeline gulped, if only Dumbledore knew two Death Eaters were sat before him, between his students. That thought alone made the girl feel guiltier than she thought possible.

"But now, your beds await. I know your top priority is to be well rested for your lessons tomorrow. Therefore, I say goodnight, to each and every one of you."

And quickly the Great Hall became empty, Adeline and Draco rushing away, letting a new set of Slytherins take prefect duty.

"Can I sleep in your dorm tonight?" Adeline pouted as the pair walked into the common room, "Daphne will be in mine and I really don't want to see her right now."

"Okay, love." Draco sighed, leading the girl up the boy's stairs to his dormitory, not caring for the stares being shot their way, "Do you want some pyjamas?"

"No." Adeline shook her head with a smirk, "I don't think I'll be needing them."

The girl pushed her lover onto the four-poster bed waving her wand and drawing closed the curtains.

"After pulling that stunt with me on the train, do you really think all I'd want to do is sleep?" She hummed, raking her nails down Draco's chest as he laid down, gripping her hips tightly.

"If you guys are going to fuck, can you at least put a silencing charm on?" Blaise yelled suddenly, causing the pair to turn deep red.

"If you say so Blaise," Draco bit his lip, pulling out his wand, "muffliato!"
