"What are you doing here?" Adeline asked, exhaustion filling her tone as she stared at the girl she called her best friend."Pulling you out of the hole of misery you've decided to worm yourself in." Daphne commented, flicking her freshly dyed blonde hair over her shoulder.
"You shouldn't be here." The teens horse voice, croaked out, "if he catches you here he'll either kill you or convert you."
"I'm not scared of him." Daphne huffed, brows furrowing as she watched the other female dejectedly throw her body onto the living room sofa.
"You should be." The Charm responded gravely. Daphne gulped. Adeline was different, she was more serious, less spark in her step and words. Daphne Greengrass didn't like it.
"What happened to you?" The girl snapped aggressively, "You're Adeline freaking Charm! Adeline Charm Doesn't sit around and mope! Why don't you get up and tell the Dark Lord to go-"
"Shut up." Adeline mumbled dangerously, anger lacing her tone as her lip twitched in annoyance.
"What?" The blonde scoffed, brown eyes widening in shock, "did you just tell me-?"
"You heard what I said." The girl snapped, "shut up Daphne, you have no idea what you're talking about. You know nothing about what's going on."
"I know it's probably nothing you can't handle!" Daphne shot back, "stop being so dramatic Addie! It's not like your a death eater or something!"
That was when Adeline decided she had had enough, the teen rocketed up from the bed, pointing her wand at her friend, lip quivering, eyes red with rage.
"I said shut up!" She screamed, hand shaking as she pointed a weapon that could easily kill at her childhood friend.
"You're one of them." The blonde accused, Adeline detected fear in her eyes as she took a step back, "you're a death eater. How could you?"
""You know nothing." Adeline shook her head, not letting down her guard, "you're so fucking ignorant Daphne!"
"What the fuck Adeline?" The teen replied, hurt, "I'm supposed to be your best friend! I guess you really are one of them."
"Get out." The death eater spoke simply, "get out right now before I really hurt you."
"Fuck you," Daphne shook her head, quickly retreating, Adeline could tell she was afraid, "You evil bitch. You're a monster."
And Daphne Greengrass was out the door, leaving Adeline all alone in the big room. The raging fireplace could no longer warm her as she felt her cold heart ice over further.
'You're a monster.' Her thoughts taunted.
"Stop it." Adeline whimpered, clutching her head, "stop!"
'Monster.'
'Monster.'
'Monster.'They chimed in from every angle, causing the teen to sink down onto her knees, clutching her head tightly, pulling at the roots of her hair.
"Adeline!" A voice surprised the girl, making her head shoot up, blue eyes coming into contact with dark brown ones.
"Bellatrix." She greeted politely, masking her pain like she knew how, "what can I do for you?"
"It's what I can do for you I'm more concerned about." An evil twinkle shone in Bellatrix's eyes as she offered the teen a hand from the floor, "Get a cloak, we're heading out."
Obeying orders, Adeline grabbed a black cloak, meeting Bellatrix at the gates of Malfoy Manor, the older witch held out an arm and the younger teen looked at it hesitantly.
