"Will you be joining us?" Adeline questioned Pansy and Daphne, flashing them her new badge.

"I'll join anything that involves taking down Saint Potter." Pansy grumbled, looking towards the Gryffindors in the potions classroom, disgust in her features.

"We get to do more than catch Potter." Draco told them excitedly, "we get to take away house points, give detentions and skip lessons."

"Don't you get to do that anyways?" Daphne questioned, nodding towards their prefects badge.

"Yeah, but watch this." Draco sniggered, "Oi Weasley!"

The ginger haired boy turned around in his seat to face the smug looking blonde,
"What you ferret!?" He shouted rudely, shoving up his middle finger.

"That'll be ten points from Gryffindor for the cheek." Draco smirked widely, leaning back against the table as the group erupted into laughter.

"You can't do that!" The red head yelled aggressively, "I'm a prefect! I'll have you reported Malfoy!"

"Yes we can." Adeline smirked, mirroring Draco, nodding down to her new badge, "Inquisitorial Squad gives us a few extra privileges, so that'll be another ten points from Gryffindor for threatening my boyfriend Weasley."

"Sucking up to Umbridge are you now Charm?" Weasley asked, looking at the girl as if she were filth, "Surprising after that lovely bonding session you and Harry had with her."

"You didn't tell me you had detention with Potter?" Draco questioned the girl, raising a brow, a spark of jealously flashing in his stone gaze as the Chosen One watched the scene from afar amusement in his green eyes.

"I hardly see how it was necessary." Adeline waved her boyfriend off as Snape entered the room, weather they liked it or not their conversation was now over.

"I believe I owe my congratulations." Snape's gaze flickered to Adeline's neck, an unknown emotion passing through his usually blank expression, "Malfoy and Charm, who would have guessed it."

"Thank you Professor." Draco boasted pridefully, making sure to lean his chin on his palm, flashing his own claim.

"And you've claimed him too Miss Charm?" Snape asked in surprise, tutting at the ring, "I wish you two all the best, that is a very beautiful necklace."

Adeline blushed slightly, hands absentmindedly reaching up to fondle the chain,
"Thank you sir." She muttered, smiling slightly while looking down at her text book.

"Professor Umbridge has asked me to pass on a message." Snape changed the subject, turning to face the class, "if any of you wishes to follow Mr Malfoy and Miss Charms lead in joining the Inquisitorial Squad, sign ups will be tonight."

Adeline and Draco nodded to their friends who all nodded determinedly back.

"Let's take down Potter once and for all."

Adeline and Draco were out patrolling the corridor that night, Adeline being more distracted by the flurry of snow falling down outside the windows.

"Are you excited for Christmas break?" Draco asked the girl, "I'm assuming your mother will be holding the Christmas Ball this year?"

"Don't remind me." Adeline groaned, "every year I have to look better than the previous, it gets a bit tedious after a while."

"You still look beautiful though, don't you?" Draco sighed, gripping the other teens hand tighter, "hell, you'd look beautiful in one of those ghastly Weasley sweaters for all I care."

Adeline laughed loudly, her voice echoing of the large walls in the dark, lonely corridor,
"I'd never wear something like that." She shook her head, scrunching up her nose in disgust, "I might catch a disease or something."

Draco nodded, snorting in agreement. Suddenly a large bang resonated through the corridor, making the teens look at each other simultaneously.

"Do you think-?"

Draco hushed the girl quickly, rushing to the end of the seventh corridor quietly. Adeline saw a flash of movement out of the corner of her eye, causing the girl to quickly stun the victims, the pair smirking as they loomed over not one but two familiar faces.

"Would you look who's out of bed after hours." Draco announced, looking down at the terrified face of Neville Longbottom and Cho Chang.

"Now, what are you doing out here?" Adeline asked, puzzled, drawing her wand and pointing it to the Gryffindors throat, "Are you going to tell us Longbottom? I know you've been out here meeting Potter and his secret little group. Now what would a Gryffindor be doing on the seventh floor near the Ravenclaw common room?"

"Go to hell, you snake." The boy hissed, causing Adeline's eyes to widen in amusement as she stepped back, laughter bubbling in the back of her throat.

"I'll be taking 10 points from Gryffindor for that attitude Longbottom." Adeline chirped.

"And what about you Chang?" Adeline questioned innocently, "what could a goody two shoes Ravenclaw be doing out after hours?"

"On a walk." Chang replied, hardly braver than Longbottom, "he was escorting me back to the common room."

"Convincing story." Adeline smiled, letting Draco grab him and haul his small body up, "but not convincing enough, it's 11pm at night, we'll be taking you straight to Umbridge for interrogation."

Adeline cheerfully skipped to Umbridge's office as Draco dragged Longbottom unwillingly,
"I can't wait to see the look on Potters face as we tear his little group apart." The brunette hummed, knocking on Umbridge's office door, smiling evilly at the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw as she gave them permission to enter.

"Professor, we caught these two up on the seventh floor." Adeline told her proudly, relishing in her teachers proud expression, "I think that's where Potter is meeting up with his group."

"Really now?" Umbridge smiled sickly, waving her wand, causing the victims to fly into two pink chairs, unable to move, "and what was there excuse?"

"The girl said they were on a walk." The Charm scoffed and rolled her blue eyes.

"At 11pm?" Umbridge raised her brow, looking at the guilty pair in disbelief, "Thank you Miss Charm, mr Malfoy for your gracious action, I'll see to it you are rewarded fully."

Umbridge sent the pair a malicious grin, "I can take it from here you two, you may leave now."

Adeline nodded and her and Draco left her office.

The next day Adeline didn't see Chang or Longbottom, however she did see that the Slytherin house points had gone up by an extra two hundred points.

Smirking, Adeline continued her day like nothing was wrong, proud of helping catapult her house far into the lead.
