"Are you all coming to the Charm Christmas party this year?" Adeline asked her friends as they piled onto the Hogwarts Express, ready to go back home for their Christmas holidays.

"Course we are." Pansy gushed, biting into a chocolate frog, "we wouldn't miss your mums planning for the world!"

"I don't know how she does it." Adeline admitted truthfully, "she's absolutely insane that woman is."

"That woman is your mother." Daphne told her sternly as Adeline scoffed, rolling her eyes, leaning her head on Draco's shoulder, "you should be grateful for her, you never know if something may happen to her."

Adeline didn't reply to that, frowning as she thought of her father, Draco squeezed her shoulder
reassuringly, seeing the change in attitude in the girl.

"You'll see him when we get to the platform." Draco whispered in her ear, causing the Charm to smile softly, he always seemed to know what she was thinking.

Adeline gripped Draco's hand tightly as the pair stepped off the train, her eyes desperately searching the crowd for Marcus Charm, for his tall, broad figure, his scruffy blonde locks and his piercing blue gaze that matched his daughters own.

"Where is he?" Adeline felt her heart sink as she walked over to her mother and Narcissa, the two mothers standing alone on the platform, unaccompanied by their husbands, "where's my dad?"

"He's at home." Her mother spoke, no ounce of sympathy in her tone, rolling her eyes at her daughters teary expression, "stop being so dramatic Adeline, you'll see him soon."

Adeline bit her tongue, looking towards the floor, gasping in shock as Narcissa let out a sob, pulling the girl into a hug.

"I always knew you two would end up together." She cradled the teen as if she were her own, "Draco, that necklace is beautiful! Lucius and your father are so proud of the pair of you!"

"Thank you Mrs Malfoy." Adeline replied awkwardly, not used to the woman speaking so joyfully.

"Nonsense dear!" Narcissa gasped, almost as if she were offended, "call me Narcissa dear! You've never had a problem with my name before, are you okay?" Narcissa grabbed the girl, pressing the back of her hand against Adeline's forehead.

"She's fine." Valencia Charm snapped, gripping her daughters arm tightly, ripping her away from the overly zealous woman, Adeline winced in pain at her mothers tight grip, Draco stepping forward, a look of concern on his face. Adeline simply shook her head.

'Back off.' She mimed to him, the blonde boy frowned, looking at Adeline's mothers nails digging into her arm, the pale skin turning an angry red.

"Are you coming to tea with us?" Narcissa questioned, mainly looking at Adeline, who looked at her mother.

"No, Narcissa." Valencia replied calmly, letting go of her daughter who stepped away from her mother, closer to Draco, rubbing her arm in pain, "since this one has been working up quite a fuss over Marcus, I think we're just going to go back home to see him."

"You'll visit won't you." Adeline looked up at her boyfriend, who smiled fondly down at her.

"Of course." Draco replied, kissing her forehead slowly, embracing the other teen deeply.

"Our home is your home." Narcissa smiled kindly, adoration filling her eyes at the new couple, "you're welcome over at any time Adeline. Don't forget that." Narcissa looked over to Valencia, a twinge of fear in her eyes, "be careful." She whispered to the teen so her mother could not hear.
