Adeline gulped staring at the blonde in front of her, Blaise gripping her hand under the table reassuringly, "just talk to him," the boy whispered aggressively, "stop being a pussy."Adeline shot her friend a glare at this. Suddenly the blonde whipped his head around, looking at the pair with a stony gaze, making Adeline freeze and Blaise roll his eyes.
"For Merlin sakes Adeline," he grumbled, "here, let me help you."
And with those words Blaise Zabini thrust his hands against the girls back successfully catapulting her forward... straight into Draco Malfoy himself. The prat even had the nerve to run off afterwards leaving her alone with Draco.
"I'm sorry!" She yelled out, eyes wide as she scrambled to her feet, looking at Draco who's only blinked back at her.
"You know if you were that desperate to talk to me you should have just said so?" He questioned her bluntly, gracefully rising from the floor and dusting off the none existent muck on his perfectly pristine robes, "there's no need to be so dramatic."
Adeline was mortified.
"What?" She questioned, "I am far from desperate."
"Oh yeah?" He scoffed, "so spreading your legs for my best mate isn't desperate?"
"Draco, I miss you." Adeline originally opened her mouth to give the Malfoy son a piece of her mind, unfortunately that's not what came out. Draco looked at her, surprise on his face and she was deadly sure hers mirrored his exactly. Adeline Charm was not exactly as good with her words as she thought she was.
"That's not what I was supposed to say." She awkwardly told the boy, shaking her head, embarrassing herself in front of the attractive boy for the second time in the short time span of around a minute. Silently the girl cursed herself, cursed how she was so unfortunate as to be so awkward around the opposite gender.
"Yeah." Draco agreed slowly, not quite sure what to say, "it wasn't."
"Why are you so mad at me?" Adeline changed her tone, becoming slightly so confident, "Draco, I need to know."
"You're so dense." He shook his head, "honestly, for being the smart one in the group you are really a numpty,"
Adeline blinked in confusion, tilting her head. Had she missed something here? However, as soon as the boy had her back pressed again the empty corridor wall her brain decided to kick itself into gear.
How many people had told her he likes her this year? Surely they weren't all lying?
"You make me crazy Adeline Charm." Draco breathed out heavily, his arms caged around her head, trapping her, his hot breath fanning her face, his eyes scrunched up, almost as if she was causing him physical pain.
"You were jealous." Adeline spoke matter of factly, no question in her tone.
"When I saw him take you upstairs.." Draco laughed painfully, banging his fist against the wall, causing Adeline to gasp, "I wanted to hurt him." He finally opened his eyes, showing Adeline just how angry the boy really was, "I wanted to hurt him so much."
"And you did." Adeline whispered, remembering Blaise's wounds.
"He deserved it," Draco mumbled thunderously, "for laying his hands on what's mi-" he paused, breathing out.
He was so close to her now, if his face was any closer the pair would be kissing. Draco suddenly snapped out of whatever phase he was in and quickly backed away from the girl like she was Lord Voldemort himself, running a hand vigorously through his platinum locks.
"I like you." Draco Malfoy confessed to her, biting his lip, eyes shining with adoration, "I've liked you for such a fucking long time!" Adeline felt herself become mute, no words trying to push past her sealed lips as a silent, lonely tear trailed down her cheek, "I remember when we were just four years old, playing in the garden and I pulled one of your pigtails-"
"I cried for fifteen minutes straight." Adeline cut in.
"And the time when we were seven and learning how to fly a broom I-"
"You knocked me off my broom mid-air because you thought it would be funny and I was in St Mungo's with a broken arm for two days." Adeline cut him off, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.
"We had an interesting childhood didn't we?" Draco pondered, thinking of all the times he had intentionally and unintentionally hurt the pretty girl before him, "I really did bully you."
"Yeah," Adeline laughed slightly, "I guess you could say you did."
"Look Adeline- I er- I mean do you er- do you?" Draco stumbled over his words, "Do you feel the same?"
Adeline gulped, looking up at the boys hopeful eyes, unsure of her own feelings.
Did she like Draco Malfoy?
Was she really willing to be in a relationship with the boy?"Draco I-" she let a breath of air pass through her lips, "I- I don't know. I don't know what I feel for you."
"Then I'll have to make you like me." The boy replied determinedly, "me and you, date at Hogsmede Saturday, I'll take you."
Adeline stood, scrunching up her face in confusion. Had Draco just asked her on a date? Well, I guess you could say more commanded her to a date.
"But I wanted to go shopping on Saturday" Adeline shook her head, whining, "I want this new green bag they've got in and I've reserved it, if I don't get it they'll give it to someone else! I refuse to let anyone else's filthy little hands touch-"
"Hey!" Draco appeared before her, grading her cheeks with his large and firm hands, silencing her angry rant, "we'll go shopping, my treat. I'll buy you that bag."
"Draco that bag is worth more than what most families have in their bank accounts." Adeline shook her head, "You already spent so much money on me for my birthday I refuse to let you buy anything for me again until Christmas."
"Well think of it as an early Christmas present then love."
Before the boy backed away from her she could have sworn she felt his soft lips brush her own, but before she could process the feel he had backed away and turned around, heading towards their common room.
"Draco." Adeline questioned the boy, "what are we now?"
"I have full intentions of making you my girlfriend Adeline Charm." The Malfoy told her, "I just need you to stop being so blind and see this sexy blonde beast in front of you."
Adeline laughed, scoffing, letting Draco walk her back to the prefect dorm.
