Adeline never got the chance to find her friends that day. Instead her attention was instantly captured by a suspicious looking trio entering a run down pub named the Hogs Head.

"What could they possibly doing here?" Adeline questioned to herself, looking around to make sure no one was watching her before following the Gryffindors towards the pub and peering into one of the grimy windows. She couldn't have any one knowing she was even near this building.

The teen gasped in shock as she noticed about thirty or so students crammed into the small shack, with none other than Harry Potter and Hermione Granger themselves addressing them all.

The pub was old and deprived, with gaps in the windows letting noise in, but most importantly letting noise out, Adeline could hear every word they said.

"We all know why we're here." She heard the muggleborn address, "we need a teacher, a proper teacher, one who's had real experience defending themselves from the Dark Arts."

"Why?" A student Adeline was not familiar with piped up, however after a quick glance at his Hufflepuff robes she understood why she didn't know him.

"Why?" Ronald Weasley snapped aggressively, "because You Know Who's back you tosspot."

"So he said." The boy seemed unconvinced and uncooperative, the brunette questioned why he was even there.

"So Dumbledore said." Granger corrected him snappily.

"So Dumbledore said, because he said." The Hufflepuff scoffed, "the point is where's the proof." Adeline bit her lip, she had been watching them for a grand total of a minute and already she wanted to leave, their stupidity was making her loose brain cells, "if Potter could tell us more about how Diggory got killed, then maybe-"

"I'm not going to talk about how Cedric died." Harry stood up from his stool in the corner, talking to the crowd, "so if that's why your here you mays as well clear out now." Adeline watched as he turned to his two best friends and muttered angrily at them, looking towards the exit of the pub.

"Is it true you can cast a patronus?" She heard a girl by the name of Looney Lovegood ask the Chosen One airily. Adeline wasn't too impressed, she too could cast a patronus.

"Yes." Granger answered for the boy, "I've seen it."

"Blimey Harry." A dark skinned boy gasped in awe, Adeline knew he was a Gryffindor in her year, Dean Thomas, a true kiss arse, "I didn't know you could do that!"

"And he killed a basilisk with the sword in Dumbledores office." The Charm's eyes flew to Neville Longbottom, she had never actually heard the boy stutter more than a few sentences, so this was new for her.

""Third year he fought off about a hundred dementors at once." Weasley backed him up.

"And last year." Granger sighed, facing Potter, "he did really fight you know who in the flesh." The pub fell silent and Adeline held her breath, afraid even so much as a noise would get her caught.

"Wait." Potter tried to silence his friends desperately, "look. It all sounds great when you put it like that, but the truth is, most of that was just luck, I didn't know what I was doing half of the time and I nearly always had help."

"He's just being modest." Granger rolled her eyes.

"No, Hermione." Potter shook his head, "I'm not. Facing this stuff, in real life, is not like school. In school, if you make a mistake you can just try again tomorrow, but out there, when you're a second away from being murdered, or watching a friend die before your eyes...." Potter sighed, "you don't know what that's like."
