"I don't think this is a good idea," Adeline grumbled as she and Draco held hands, walking towards Umbridge's office."Stop being dramatic Adeline love." Draco scoffed, holding up his hand to knock on the now pink door, "it's not like she's going to murder us."
"You never know." Adeline muttered under her breath as the door swung open.
"Children!" Umbridge smiled widely, standing to greet them, "Come in! Come in!"
"Good evening Professor." Adeline greeted politely, sitting down in the very chair that she had been tortured in only two months previously, how the tables had turned...
"I would first of all like to apologise to you Miss Charm." Umbridge told the girl sincerely, pouring her a cup of tea into a fine china cup and gently stirring two tea spoons of sugar into it, "What I did to you at the beginning of the year was wrong and I hope we can both get past that."
"Certainly Professor." Adeline smiled weakly, taking a sip from the tea, an unfamiliar buzz rushing over her.
"Do you know why you're here?" Umbridge asked Adeline and Draco after they had both sipped the tea.
"Is it about the Inquisitorial Squad?" Adeline questioned, shaking her head as Umbridge offered her a biscuit.
"It is my dear." Umbridge smirked widely, opening her draw and presenting the pair with two shiny badges, a silver 'I' glinting back at them, "I want the two of you to lead it, to set an example to your fellow Slytherins on who to follow."
Adeline perked up at the mention of leading, Umbridge really knew how to persuade a girl, "it'd be like being a prefect, you can dock house points from other prefects, hand out detentions and punishments. Best of all, you can patrol corridors during lesson times to catch any trouble makers. I am sure you have heard of the Wesley twins?"
Draco and Adeline nodded, the pair intrigued where Umbridge was taking the conversation, "it's come to my attention they've been manufacturing confectionary which is against the school rules and dealing them, I want you to try and catch them and put a stop to it."
"What about Potter?" Adeline asked in questioning, "he's up to something I know it."
"Then I want you to find out what he's doing." Umbridge smirked, pushing the badge towards the girl, "Do you know anything about what Potter is doing?"
"I think he's stirring up some sort of revolt." Adeline spoke, "I overheard him saying they needed a proper teacher for Defence Against the Dark Arts."
"That is interesting Miss Charm." Umbridge hummed, "I'll leave it up to the pair of you to recruit new students to the squad. I'll have Mr Filch help you with the Potter and Weasley situation."
The brunette and blonde picked up their badges, pinning them proudly on their robes, looking out each other with beams on their faces, they would get to lead.
Adeline and Draco stood up from their places, heading towards the door when Umbridge stopped them,
"Miss Charm, Mr Malfoy." The pair looked at their Professor, "I'm trusting you, the whole school is trusting you to make it a better place to be. Do me proud.""Yes Professor." The pair nodded and left the office quickly.
"See that wasn't that bad." Draco told her, "she just basically gave us more prefect privileges."
"I can just imagine Weasley's face when I dock him house points tomorrow." Adeline laughed as they walked into the prefect common room.
"I think we deserve a reward." Draco smirked, clicking his fingers and suddenly there was a bottle of champagne and a bottle of red wine on the coffee table.
"You know me well, Draco Malfoy." Adeline walked over to the couch, tugging off her robe, letting it fly across the room, popping open the champagne bottle and taking a swig.
"No." Draco shook his head, ruffling his hair and pulling off his tie, "I just know that you're a little alcoholic in the making."
The brunette laughed, freeing her locks from the tight ponytail she had scraped it into earlier that morning, "I don't know weather or not to be insulted by that."
"Don't be." Draco smiled down at the girl, placing her head in his lap as he softly ran his fingers through her hair, "I like it when you're drunk."
"Should we get drunk then?" Adeline grinned, sitting up and straddling the boy, taking another sip of the champagne.
"We have class tomorrow." Draco breathed out, trying hard to pay no attention to how good Adeline's skin felt pressed against his own, "we can't show up hung over."
"Then we won't show up at all." Adeline grinned, pushing the bottle into Draco's hands, smirking in satisfaction as he groaned out and caved into her wishes, taking a long drink, "good boy."
"Babe stop it." Draco closed his eyes, breathing deeply as Adeline's hands explored his body, threatening to dip under his shirt.
"It's Babe now is it?" Adeline whispered into Draco's ear, nibbling the skin softly, "we don't have to do anything Draco, we can just touch and kiss."
"Adeline." Draco groaned out, his hands gripping her waist as she moved her lips down to his neck, leaving her mark.
Adeline giggled softly causing Draco to snap and push the teen off him, "no." He shook his head, pursing his lips, "we have classes tomorrow."
"But Draco-"
"I said no Adeline!" He shouted at her, causing her to flinch and squeeze her eyes shut, half expecting him to hit her.
"Look,Babe were going to have an extremely stressful time soon, trying to catch Potter and studying for owls." Draco sighed, "we can't afford to be loosing sleep and missing classes."
"Ok, you swot." Adeline scoffed, picking up the bottle and walking to her bedroom, "night Draco."
