Adeline didn't go to the common room that night, instead her feet lead her to the room of requirement, desperate to see if her lover was held out there. Entering the room, she spotted the boy, knelt before the cabinet, sobbing into his hands.

"It was you, wasn't it?" She spoke in a tone full of disappointment, "What were you thinking Draco? I thought we weren't going to hurt innocent people."

"She wasn't supposed to get hurt." The boy whispered, standing up and facing his lover, "it was meant for Dumbledore."

"You used the Imperious cure on her!" Adeline yelled.

"I had no choice!" The boy yelled, "I had no choice! While you've been off galavanting with Potter I've been working my arse off trying to do the task! Do you even care, Adeline? We have no choice, or he'll kill us, he'll kill my family."

"Harry knows it's you." Adeline sniffled, "you need to be more careful. He saw the necklace, he knows it was from Borgin and Burkes. Draco, it was horrible, I thought she was possessed or something. She few up in the air and then she screamed and screamed and screamed and she went still, she was so still I thought she was dead Draco, I thought-'

The boy cut her off, his body slamming into hers in a tight embrace, the pair sobbing freely at what they were having to do.

"It's coming along." Draco mumbled into her hair, "I've found out how to connect them I just need to read up on it more, I need books from Snape."

"I'll help-"

"No." Draco shook his head, "I'll get the books, don't worry, I need you to distract Potter, throw him off, accuse anyone, anyone but me. You're close now, I need you to help me Addie. I love you."

"I'll help you." Adeline mumbled as the pair locked eyes, "I love you too." his lips landing softly on hers, his hands wandering her body, hers removing his clothes, the pair becoming carried away with the night.

As Adeline said, the next day she met the trio in the library. Adeline browsed the shelves as they spoke in a hushed tone among themselves.

"Why does Snape have to set so much homework?" Adeline groaned, slamming a book down onto their table, pulling out a roll of parchment, the green quill her mother had gotten her and a bottle of ink, "an entire essay on Inferi? Is he kidding honestly?"

"He gives you special treatment I swear." Ron grumbled as he looked over Hermione's shoulder, copying her essay word for word. Adeline decided to hide the fact the man was her god-father and she was the only family he had left.

"Oi!" The bushy haired Gryffindor grumbled, smacking Rons head, "stop copying me."

The group all cast their eyes on the Boy who Lived who was sat blankly staring at his empty piece of parchment as if the essay was going to write itself.

"I saw Draco in Borgin and Burkes over the summer holidays." Harry announced suddenly and Ron let out a deep groan.

"Mate honestly, give it a rest, it's like you're obsessed with the lad." The red-head told his best friend disapprovingly, "besides you can't be saying stuff like that around Adeline, it's not fair."

"But he was there!" Harry spoke in annoyance, he told Borgin he wanted something repairing. I think he bought the necklace there and wanted it repairing so he could hurt someone with it."

"Who do you recon the necklace was even for?" Ron butted in, asking the question that was on the Gryffindor trios mind.

"It could have been meant for loads of people here," Harry furrowed his brows, listing off different names, "Dumbledore? I'm sure the Death Eaters would love to get rid of him." Adeline tensed up at the mention of the Dark Lords followers, "maybe even Slughorn, Dumbledore thinks the Death Eaters aren't too pleased with him either cause he's sided with Dumbledore."
