"Wait what?!" Daphne screeched, staring at Adeline in disbelief as the story spewed from her mouth, "so you're going on a date with him? Wait, it's today! Hogsmede is today! You're going on a date with Draco Malfoy today!"
"He wants to start courting me." The teen shook her head, "Daph, I think I do actually like him."
Adeline sighed as a midnight black owl with piercing green eyes swept into their dorm, dropping a letter into the girl's lap; the signature Charm crest gazed up at her and the girl felt a sense of doom waiting for her inside of the letter.
"It's from your mother isn't it?" Daphne sighed, biting her lip anxiously as she watched her best friends eyes scan the letter.
Adeline looked up from the letter, a blank expression on her face as she shook her head, tossing the letter aside and letting Daphne read it.
Dear Adeline,
How are you hunny! I'm so sorry for not writing to you sooner, I miss you so much more than you could imagine. Word has spread to me from Lucius a certain boy has taken an interest in you. I always knew this was coming darling, i knew you'd get along eventually. I hope you and Draco last, I've always wanted to be related to Lucius! Don't tell him that though Addie, Lucius would never let me see the end of it! Also, don't do anything with him I wouldn't! I don't think I'm quite ready for grandchildren just yet. I'm just writing to let you know I approve and I'm proud of you, I look forward to seeing you at Christmas love. I am so sorry about not being able to keep in touch, don't write back, they'll find me.

"He's okay." Adeline whispered, a smile on her face, "he's ok!"
Suddenly, the teen felt a large weight drop off her shoulder, her beloved father, the man who had raised her, gave her love which not even her own mother could provide, was safe.
"He approves of Draco." Daphne commented, causing Adeline to roll her eyes.
"Of course he approves of Draco. My father praises the ground Mr Malfoy walks on. Honestly it's like-"
