The week was slowly dragging by, Adeline desperately anticipating the upcoming weekend, a much needed Hogsmede shopping trip was waiting for the girl and she couldn't wait to be out of the castle.

However, the girl had some issues to address first, if that's what you could call them. Adeline hadn't spoken to Blaise Zabini since she had slept with him in fear if she got too close she may hex him so badly the boy would never want to be within ten feet of her ever again. However, the teen was quickly becoming frustrated with the deep ridge wedging itself between the group of Slytherins and she feared it would only divide them further the deeper it got.

Adeline didn't want to loose her friends, well not Blaise anyway. She wanted to be popular, to be feared. How was she supposed to be any of those things without a gang of equally intimidating people backing her up? Sure it seemed selfish but they needed her as much if not more than she needed them.

Taking a deep breath, the girl hesitantly sat down in the seat opposite Blaise Zabini. Now was the perfect opportunity to talk to him, the common room was empty. Blaise looked up at the sound of movement and Adeline nearly cried at the state of the boy.

Blaise Zabini was usually pristine and perfect, leaning from his mother to always look his best, even if he was feeling his worst, however now he was officially a mess. His robes were crinkled, tie not straight. He had odd socks on and Adeline wasn't even sure how long the boy had been wearing the same shirt for. However, what really struck her was his face, from his sunken cheek bones, to his dull brown eyes, to the prominent eye bags which made him look half dead.

"What happened to you?" Adeline choked out a dry sob, looking at the black eye prominently taunting her, his split lip puffing up his usually perfectly plump lips and the cuts littering his abnormally paler complexion. One thing the girl had always adored about the boy was his tanned tone, however now he was a sickly pale and no matter how hard she tried to suppress it, she was worried for him.

"Your little minions." Adeline furrowed her brows, questioning him, "don't act like you don't know, the ones who are spreading that I raped you. And this." He gestured to his face, "is what Draco did when he found out. Found yourself an well overprotective boyfriend you have Addie."

"I didn't tell anyone to say that." She denied any responsibility in the rumour circulation, which was true, "and about Draco..." the girl bit her lip as she trailed off, "he's not my boyfriend." She denied firmly, "hell, he won't even look at me."

"What do you want?" Blaise asked her hopelessly, closing the transfiguration book he was reading in front of him.

"I want my guy best friend back." Adeline whispered in pain, her heart pounding furiously as Blaise squeezed his eyes shut and put his head on the desk, "the one who doesn't take advantage of me when I'm drunk, I want the one who cares for me at 2am while I'm vomiting my liver out, the one who tucked me into bed and treats me like a princess." A tear slowly slides down her face, "I want my Blaise back."

A long silence hung in the air, Blaise keeping his head on the desk, his body shaking slightly, Adeline could tell he was crying.

"I'm sorry." He broke the silence first, lifting his head and showing her the tears pooling from his chocolate eyes, "I'm a fucking idiot Addie, I messed up, I know! When you walked down those stairs dressed in that fucking dress..." Blaise paused and breathed deeply, "I wanted you. I didn't see Addie, I saw a beautiful Adeline Charm. I was selfish I know, and I'll forever be apologetic to you."

"These past few days have been absolute hell. I couldn't go anywhere without being cursed by a Slytherin,  I thought Montague was going to kill me after he found out." Adeline laughed sadly, thinking about how furious her good friend must have been, "I haven't eaten. I can't go into the great hall without being cursed out, I can't sleep in my own bed without feeling unsafe!"

"I love you." Adeline sobbed, standing up from her place and embracing the boy tightly, feeling his weight collapses onto her, "I'm so sorry. I'll make it stop Blaise. Sit with me tomorrow for breakfast please, I need to make it up to you."

"It's not your fault Adeline-"

"Yes it is!" Adeline's stubborn side was emerging, refusing to be wrong, "I let you! I was the one who opened my legs for you and everyone made it out like I was the victim! I wasn't!"

"Stop." Blaise gripped her hands tightly, connecting her wild gaze with his calming one, "it's both of our faults, we shouldn't have done it, I shouldn't have spread it. Ok? Let's leave it, forget it ever happened."

"Yeah." Adeline blushed, a red tinge painting her cheeks, remembering the way Blaise's body felt against hers, how his hands that were holding her own did unspeakable things to her body, "I'll try."

"Me too." Blaise hugged the girl, breathing in her familiar scent, one he had missed dearly, "although it'll be pretty hard."

Adeline giggled softly and swatted his chest, a sense of relief pooling inside her at the rekindling of their friendship, now there was only one more problem to deal with.

Blaise frowned, "now what were you saying about Malfoy?"

"He won't speak to me, or look at me." Adeline looked at her lap as the pair sat back down, "he flipped out on me in divination and quidditch trials, shouting furiously at me, I think I've lost him Blaise."

"He's just in shock." Blaise comforted her, "he's jealous too obviously."

"What do you mean jealous?" Adeline furrowed her brows, "Why would he be jealous of us having..." she blushed again, "you know.."

"Sex?" Blaise put bluntly, making Adeline turn redder and nod shyly, "because he likes you, you daft bimbo."

"Will everyone stop saying that!" Adeline groaned out, slapping her face with the palm of her hand, "never in a million years would Draco Lucius Malfoy have a crush on me, nope. Never."

"You two are the exact same." Blaise grumbled in annoyance, "stubborn as hell, no wonder he likes you so much."

"Shut up Blaise." Adeline groaned exasperatingly, to which the boy wiggled his brows immaturely.

"Make me." He winked, causing the pair to burst out into a round of laughter.
