(So the person who requested this...is no longer on wattpad. But I pushed through and finished it anyway)

The dragon whimpered and buried its very large head in your chest. "I know. It'll be fine. He'll be fine as well." You whispered, scratching the creature under the chin.

You hadn't been at the palace recently. It was an ultimatum between your boyfriend and you. You knew that trying to use Trance wouldn't end well for anyone, but he never listened.

"Would he ever listen?"

It was seemingly deathly silent ahead in the palace, even with the giant creature walking beside you, the dragon's claws clicking on the ground. You could still hear something ahead, what sounded like whimpers and growls of a caged animal.

That scared and angered you more. "I told him not to mess with Trance! I told him it would kill him! But he didn't listen and look where we are now!" The dragon chirped and tilted his head, watching you kick at the ground. "Now I need to fix everything."

You stopped at the door to the sanctum, the animal noises louder than before. The dragon whimpered and hid behind you, and you patted the beast on its scaly nose, trying to calm it down. Then, you braced your weapon and silently walked inside.

There were a couple of things you expected to see entering the former mage's room. It in shambles was not one of those things. "Kuja?" You called, glancing around the room. "Where are you?"

A low growl came from behind you, and you turned around, thinking it was the dragon. It only took a second to realize it was not, as the snarling monster lunged at you.

KUJA?

You spat and tried to wrestle the red-furred devil off of you, bracing your weapon as the creature growled and slashed at your neck. Behind you, the dragon squeaked and ran back and forth, not helping in the slightest.

"Get off of me!" You hissed, trying to stab your weapon into the shoulder of the monster. It squealed suddenly and backed up, hissing at you from the shadows. "I told you not to use it again!"

The creature snarled at you again, before going suddenly silently. You glanced around once more, trying to find areas of escape.

Then it lunged again. You were immediately buried under the weight of the red furred creature as its claws tried to dig into your skin. "Kuja!" You could smell blood now. "If you're not completely lost in there, stop tris! You're not a monster!"

Silence. The monster stopped moving, and you slid your bleeding body out from underneath it. One glance at its face told you everything you needed to know.

It whimpered and fell forward, as you caught the detransformed mage before he hit the ground. Kuja looked weak, and he glanced at you with a dead stare. "What are you doing here, my princess?" He questioned, sounding incredibly tired. You smiled and ran a hand through the man's hair. "Making sure you don't hurt someone."

The mage tilted his head and sighed, laying his head in your lap. "I told you, my dead, I'll have to do what I must to succeed." He mumbled. You grit your teeth but ignored that. "Just promise me you won't use trance again, okay?"

Silence. You were pretty sure Kuja was asleep, his failed transformation having sapped all his energy. The dragon trilled and curled around the both of you, also falling asleep. It made you sleepy as well, and slowly you dozed off, dreaming of happier times.

It only took a few months for Trance to end everything you cared about.

*breaks down door* AND AS YOU CAN SEE, I AM NOT DEAD

Hey folks, sorry for the random hiatus, I promise I'm still writing but just slowly. Needed some time to relax, y'know?

Anyway, here's your Kuja stuff. Enjoy.

You know what's also a cool fandom? Devil May Cry. And that's all I'm going to say about that. V is my baby, I love him.

Vote, comment, etc. Have a good day/night everyone!
