Can Lions Eat Ice Cream?: Kingdom Hearts II

Xion yawned and glanced down, seeing her brand new fluffy black paws. The journey over had been uneventful, but the real fun was about to begin.

She glanced up to see the sun rising movie style over the rolling grass, its golden-red rays shining over her new lion form. Beautiful Xion thought to herself.

A mutter came from behind her and Xion turned around to see another golden lion, this one with especially spiky fur, climbing to his feet. "Roxas?" She asked, surprised.

The lion shot her a look and grumbled to himself. "Yes?" He muttered, lashing his tail. Xion shrugged. "Oh, nothing. I just didn't realize you woke up so quickly." She responded, walking over to him. "Do you know where Axel is?"

Roxas rolled his eyes and pointed with his tail over to yet another lion, this one twice their size with fluffy red fur still laying in the grass. "He's over there." He muttered, pawing the ground. "We'd better hurry up here. I miss having opposable thumbs."

Xion sighed and walked over to the ginger lion, nudging him. "Up and at em, buddy. We're on a time limit." She said wryly, using the minimum amount of excitement she had. Axel looked up at her and yawned, showing off a lot of fangs. "We have plenty of time." He replied, standing up and stretching.

"What are we even doing here anyway?" Roxas butted in, storming over to them. "Didn't...you know who and his friends already ruin everything?" Axel yawned again. "It's called reconnaisance, Roxas. We're just making sure nothing was too ruined." Roxas growled under his breath but he shut up.

Axel gestured to a rock in the distance. "Look there. That's Pride Rock, where the heartless spawned. That's where we're headed." He snapped, before turning tail and walking away.

Roxas scrambled after him, while Xion hung back, looking around at the scenery. WWhat exactly happened here? She thought, before shaking her head. EH, no matter. I shouldn't question it.

She skipped after the other two, and caught up to them in a few seconds. Axel kept ahead of the duo, the grass burning away at his paws, while Roxas continued grumbling to himself.

Even though it wasn't in her nature, Xion decided to break the tension. "Hey, you know what would be funny?" She said aloud. "What?" Roxas muttered.

"Eating ice cream like this. Can you imagine how messy it would be on our fur?" Axel snickered. "I should've brought some." He added, hanging back with the other two lions. "Because now I want to see Roxas eat some."

"Why me specifically?" Roxas yelled, lashing his tail. "Do I LOOK like I want to get messy right now?" Xion giggled. "It would be a little funny." She added.

Roxas opened hsi jaw but he stopped. "Fine." He muttered, pawing at the ground. "I'll concede that it would be funny." He jumped up. "But you two have to eat it as well! If I get messy, you get messy too!"

Axel burst out laughing, uncommon for him. "Alright fine. You're pushy today." He snickered, nudging the golden lion on the shoulder. "Let's get this over with, and maybe try that ice cream theory later." The two continued bantering ahead and Xion smiled to herself. At least the tension melted She thought. I don't like it when they argue.

After all, who would I eat ice cream with if one of them died?

...Oh man I can hear the angry Kingdom Hearts fans now.

I totally butchered these characters, since I couldn't exactly do research for this. Kingdom Hearts lore is a little bit...complicated and I couldn't find anything helpful without learning about a ton of useless Xehanort-related information. But I like the lion design for Sora in KH2, I like Axel and his friends, and TLK is probably one of my favorite movies, so yeah.

Next oneshot probably is a sequel to the Cloud and Sephiroth one, because I'm feeling crazy. Vote, comment, and have a good day.
