Chapter 5

Third pov

The two best friends were sitting on the couch while waiting for the food they delivered. They were watching Scarlet Heart Ryeo.

Mina suggested it.

"Do you think destiny will bring back Hae Soo and Wang So?" Chaeyoung asked Mina

"I don't know, we don't know if they are really destined to be together but one thing is for sure, if they are really destined to be together, no matter what happen, even if in this world they won't end up together, even if this story is not theirs, for sure the next story will be theirs."

Mina smiled at Chaeyoung hoping that the younger will understand.

Chaeyoung is still processing what Mina said. Well it's because when it comes to talking about love, she is a fool.

"Okay now I get it! But if two people love one another, doesn't it mean that they are destined to be together?"

"There is a difference when it comes to that. You see some people even if they love one another, they broke up or separate either for better or for worse. But some people even if they broke up, after some time, they still got back together. If two people are really destined to be together, both of their hearts will keep longing for each other, so even if they fought or separate, the longing for each other will bring them back together. It is easy to say you love someone, but hard to show it. Those who show their love through their actions and not just by words, are the ones who truly love you. Not because someone says he/she loves you, means they truly love you."

"Wow, I can't believe you have this much knowledge when it comes to love Mina. You can definitely write a book about love at this point!"

Mina chuckled at the younger's cute response.

"But how if someone truly loves you but you don't feel the same way for them?"

Mina was taken aback from Chaeyoung's question as this is what exactly she is feeling towards her.

"Then that person who truly loves you will either keep on holding on hoping that someday, you will feel the same or that person will let you go even if it will hurt them and will took ages to move on. That person will do it for the sake of both of you."

"Oh is that so? I feel bad to those who truly loves someone but can't receive the same feeling. It must be hard for that person. They are hurting inside."

If only you knew Chaeyoung. Mina thought

"I'll just go to the bathroom, if the delivery came go and get it okay?"

Chaeyoung nodded at the older girl. Mina went to the bathroom cause anytime she might breakdown. The topic was just so heavy for her.

Mina washed her face and look at herself in the mirror letting more tears escape from her eyes.

"It's okay, you will be okay." Mina reassured herself.

"Let's just accept the fact that she won't feel the same. What's important is our friendship and I can show her how much I love her even if it hurts me, at least I can show and let her feel the love I haven't felt before."

She can't do anything but just smile through her tears.

No one has ever love her and care for her. By that, she promised that she will not let these hinder herself from loving and caring for others as she don't want others to experience what she had experienced.

That's how selfless she is.

She is willing to love others even if she herself doesn't receive love. She is willing to care for others even if no one cares for her. She is willing to fix others even if she herself is broken.

After calming herself down, she fixed herself, put the same mask she is putting on every single day and pretend that everything is alright as if nothing happened to her.

She went downstairs and watch Chaeyoung from afar. Chaeyoung was so focused on the drama. Mina smiled at the cute site of her.

"If you are happy this way, just us being best friends nothing more, then I'll just bear with it and continue silently loving you Chaeyoung."
