One-Sided Love [MICHAENG]

Chapter 25

Mina's pov

Our friends got back to us, and we decided to go to a horror house before going home. I gave up on the rest of the rides because my energy is drained from the roller coaster.

We go in pairs. Chaeyoung and I, Jeongyeon and Nayeon, Sana and Dahyun, Momo, Tzuyu, and Jihyo. I picked Chaeyoung because I know I can rely on her.

But I was wrong.

As soon as we got to the entrance, Chaeyoung held onto me as if her life depends on me.

"I don't think I can do this." She said as she held onto my arms tighter.

"I didn't know you get scared easily"

"Is that why chose me? You are relying on me?" She looked at me while laughing.

"I am" I replied and laughed with her.

We both took a deep breath and entered the haunted house.

As soon as we entered, Chaeyoung shouted, which made me flinch.

There is a lot of scary stuff in here that made me want to scream, but as I looked at Chaeyoung holding onto my arm tightly looking so scared, I decided to be brave. I might scare her more if I let my cowardness get me.

I looked over at our friends, and the sight of them makes me want to laugh hard.

Nayeon is screaming every step with Jeongyeon just laughing at her.

Momo is falling every time there is a jump scare, and Tzuyu is smiling, but that smile is full of scaredness. Then there's Jihyo screaming while laughing at them.

Sana and Dahyun are having fun. They are really brave. I just wished that one jump scare will make them scared.

We are near the exit when suddenly a scary-looking creature came out of the sudden. Chaeyoung dropped to the ground with her hands on her ears while screaming. I didn't get scared but instead laughed.

I went over to Chaeyoung and give her my hand for her to take. She looks so cute. I am sorry for laughing at her, but she just looks so cute.

"That was the worst moment in my life." Chaeyoung said as we got out of the horror house.

"Did you guys see Momo? She looks so funny HAHAHAHAHAHA." Jihyo laughed as soon as she got out.

"It was fun though." Dahyun said while Sana nodded at her.

"I think we should go home. Just look at you guys. It seems like your souls are gone." Jeongyeon pointed at our friends. I looked at them, and she is definitely correct.

"Okay, let's go home." I replied and they nodded. We went out of the amusement park and waved goodbyes.

I am driving Chaeyoung to her house when she suddenly said spoke.

"Mina can I just sleep at your house?"

"Huh? Why?"

"I'm scared..." She looked down while fidgeting her fingers.

"Fine, you can." I turned the wheel and drove in the direction of my apartment.

As we got home, I took a shower and went down to watch on Netflix. If you guys are wondering where Chaeyoung is, she's in my bedroom finishing her homework that is due for 2 days now. That girl really.

"What should I watch?" I looked for something to watch. I'm in the mood to be sad, so I picked a sad kdrama. When you are watching, it should depend on your mood so you can relate!

I'm so immersed in the drama that I didn't notice Chaeyoung sitting beside me. I am crying my heart out right now while watching so I don't care if she's there.

After some minutes, I heard a sob from my side that stopped me from crying. I looked at Chaeyoung and she was also crying because of the drama. She looked at me then we both cry like fools.

Gratefully it is just the two of us here, or else anyone will think that we really are fools.

Chaeyoung's pov

After all of those crying, Mina and I decided to stop watching, or else we will be looking like pandas tomorrow.

"Are you hungry?" Mina asked as she turned the tv off.

"No, I just want to rest." I replied and lay my back on the couch.

"So do I. Let's rest in my room. It's cold here." I nodded and we went to her room.

We didn't really do anything but just lie down while staring at the ceiling.

"Remember back then when we were little, we used to lie down on the grass while watching the stars at night." She said that made me smile.

"How can I forget? It was my favorite time of the day, watching the stars with you." I smiled and turned my head to her. She smiled at me too.

"I missed those times when there are no problems, and we can play and see each other whenever we like. It's so funny when we used to talk about how much excited we are to be an adult when we were little. But now we just want to be a kid again." She chuckled and brought her eyes back to the ceiling again.

"A lot of things changed. But there is one thing that didn't change and will never change..." I said and she looked at me again. We both smiled as we know what it is.

"Our friendship" We both said at the same time.

"You are still the same Chaeyoung I know. The same Chaeyoung who loves strawberries, who wakes up late, does all her school works late, and a crybaby. But most importantly, the same Chaeyoung that makes me happy, supports me, and knows me better than anyone else." Those words of her somehow made me flutter. I'm not used to her being like this. She had been like this these past weeks, and I don't know why but either way, I love this soft side of her for me.

"You are still the same Mina I know. The same Mina who loves ketchup, likes to tease me, does all her school works early, and makes fun of me whatever I do. But after all, you are still the same Mina who is always there for me, cares for me, supports me in everything, and makes me happy." I smiled at her and she smiled at me too as a response. Moments like this with her are my favorite. It is like a way for us to get closer and closer to one another.

Mina opened her arms signaling me to hug her. I gladly accepted it and hugged her. She caressed my hair while humming a song to me. That made me feel sleepy and safe at the same time.

"Goodnight, Mina." I managed to say before falling asleep.

"Goodnight, Chaeng." I felt her kiss my forehead before completely falling asleep.

How I wished that every night will be like this.
