Third pov

When Chaeyoung saw the person standing on the stage, her heart stopped. It is none other than her best friend, Mina. She can't believe what her eyes are seeing. 

"What is she doing there." Chaeyoung mumbled

Her friends were also as shocked as Chaeyoung. They thought Mina was just somewhat lost but came to realize that she wasn't.

"Again, please give around of applause to our one and only Mina singing "If" by Taeyon."

The students clapped their hands and cheered for Mina.

Mina held her mic and looked at one person. The person whom she is dedicating this song to. She smiled seeing her standing in the crowd as if she knew that the song is for her.

The lights went off and the spotlight is on Mina. Though in the dark, Mina can clearly see Chaeyoung, the person whom she is dedicating the song to.

Chaeyoung couldn't seem to move. She is standing right there in the middle of the crowd while looking at Mina.

Mina met her eyes and smiled at her and started singing.

At this point Mina began to shed some tears while looking at Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung felt some pain in her heart seeing Mina crying while singing that song.

The song ended with Mina and Chaeyoung looking at each other while their tears flow with the pain they are feeling.

Chaeyoung's mind is blank at this moment. She can't explain what she is feeling. She fell at her seat while zoning out. Mina saw this.

"I was like a fool, I could only look upon you because i was afraid of how your heart might change and we might grow farther apart." Mina repeated the lyrics in her mind.

Dahyun: "It must've been hard for her."

Tzuyu: "hmm I can feel her emotions while singing. She is like singing what she is feeling for her."

Sana: "She is really a fool. A selfless fool."

Nayeon: "I felt bad for her. She had been keeping her feelings for her for a long time yet here she is still holding on even if it is hurting her."

Jeongyeon: "Both of them are a fool. Mina is a fool for not telling Chaeyoung what she felt after all these years and Chaeyoung is a fool to not realize Mina's feelings towards her."

All of them then looked at Chaeyoung who is sitting while looking blankly at the floor. Jihyo then turned to Chaeyoung and asked her.

"Who do you think Mina is dedicating this song to?"

"I don't know."

"You know, Mina is a secretive person. We might think we know all of her, especially you who is closest to her, but we are wrong. We just know half of her. We just know her happy side but not her broken side."

"What do you mean?"

"What do you think Mina felt while singing a while ago?"

"She looked hurt and suffering because of her feelings."

"Exactly, she have been hurting for years now because of her stupid love for that one person."

"Who might be that person... Do you guys know who it is?"

"You are really a fool. We know it because it is so obvious but how come you can't realize it?"

"Huh?"

"You figure it out yourself. But one thing is for sure, that person is so lucky to have Mina." Jihyo smiled at Chaeyoung and went back to her seat.

The event ended after some time. Chaeyoung and her friends went to Mina who is waiting for them in the gate of the school.

Upon seeing Mina, Chaeyoung ran and hugged Mina. Mina was taken aback with Chaeyoung's actions.

Mina hugged her back and suddenly heard little sobs from the latter.

"Hey why are you crying?" Mina's voice was soft.

"I'm sorry..."

Mina was shocked of the sudden apology.
