Chapter 56

Chaeyoung's pov

Months have passed and everything was going well. Our school ended and we are currently on our vacation. Jihyo informed us that she will be back and will be staying for good.

We are currently at the airport waiting for Jihyo. I hope she is fine now.

Their plane had arrived a few minutes ago and we are trying to find her.

"Mina what's with the teddy bear?" I heard Momo asked Mina.

"This is from Jihyo. I want her to see that I'm taking good care of it!"

"Ohhh you know I also saw your wallpaper and it's you and Jihyo and there's also a picture of the two of you at the back of your phone." Sana teasingly said.

Yeah, I also saw it. Honestly, I felt sad about it. It used to be us but now...

Well, Jihyo was the one who was with Mina whenever she's sad, so she is also a special person to Mina.

"What's the problem with that? It's just a reminder that she's always with me. I missed her." Mina replied while pouting.

"Well, I missed you too." We heard a voice from behind and we saw Jihyo smiling.

"Jihyo!" Mina screamed and immediately hugged Jihyo.

They look good together.

We then hugged Jihyo too. We really missed her. It's different when she's here. I'm glad that she's back too.

"I missed you guys!" Jihyo said.

"If you'll missed us then why leave?" Dahyun blurted out.

I then saw Jihyo and Mina looked at each other and looked away after a sec. I guess it is something between them.

"Come on let's just eat. My treat!" Jihyo went ahead first and Momo quickly followed after hearing what Jihyo said.

Literally, when it comes to food, Momo won't hesitate on moving in a second.

I was about to connect my arms with Mina but then she quickly went to Jihyo and connected her arms with her instead.

"Come on don't be sad. Mina just missed Jihyo so much." Nayeon said and held my hand.

"I know..."

"Let's go, I'll be your partner for the day." Nayeon smiled at me and squeezed my hand. 

I'm happy to have Nayeon. She is like my second mom. She takes good care of me and knows me the best too.

"How about me?" We looked back and saw Jeongyeon crossing her arms.

"Go with Tzuyu." Nayeon said. Jeongyeon and Tzuyu looked at each other while frowning. I laughed at how they looked at each other. It's obvious that they don't want to be together.

"I don't have any choice." Tzuyu sighed and went ahead first.

"Yah! Don't treat me like that! I'm older!" Jeongyeon yelled and followed Tzuyu.

"Those two really." Me and Nayeon followed.

We rode the van to the restaurant Jihyo was talking about.

We sat down and ordered foods. While waiting for the foods, they talked about how Jihyo was doing the past months and the things she did. I can't seem to enter the conversation. I don't know why. Hearing that Jihyo was fine the past months is enough for me already. 

I'm not in the mood to talk with them and go along with their laughs. I feel empty? You know there are days like that when you are not sad or happy. It's just like you don't feel like it.

"Chae? Are you alright? You're so quiet." Jihyo asked worriedly.

"Yeah... just... hungry?" As I said it, the food arrived. They started serving themselves and I saw how Mina serve some foods for Jihyo.

I missed how she does that to me.

I just sighed and started eating. As always, everyone went quiet when eating. We planned on shopping and going to the arcade games but Jihyo said she was tired from the travel here so we just rescheduled it. I also agreed since I don't feel like going out today.

"I'll see you guys soon!" Jihyo waved to us. We will be going on our own way home. As I was about to go, I heard Mina. "Wait Jihyo! Let me accompany you home." Jihyo agreed and as they were about to go, they noticed me staring at them.

"Chaeyoung? Is there something wrong?" Mina asked.

"Ah n-nothing I was just looking for a cab."

"We'll go ahead first." Mina smiled and they went on their way.

I don't know what went to my mind to secretly follow them. Jihyo's house is not far from here so they just walked. I saw them talking and laughing while walking.

Why does it hurt so much?

I was hiding behind a tree. I saw Mina hugged Jihyo before Jihyo went inside.

I haven't seen that smile of Mina in a long time. 

I used to be the reason of that smile but now I'm not.

I don't know what's going on between them. All I know is Mina is slowly getting farther from me and I'm letting her do so.

If only I have the courage to tell her. If only I said it earlier. If only I let her feel it earlier. If only I recognized her feelings. 

"I'm sorry for realizing it late...

I love you too."

Here's another update! I'm planning on giving titles for each chapter. What do you guys think? Should I put a title instead of "Chapter no." ?
