Chapter 54

Third pov

Chaeyoung suddenly woke up from a nightmare. She looked to her side and found no one beside her. She remembered having Mina by her side as she fell asleep.

"Mina..." She called. She started to tear up when the fear of Mina leaving her again came to her mind.

She got up and started looking for Mina around her room, but Mina is nowhere to be found. She checked the clock and the time is just 11 PM.

She hurriedly went out of her room and checked every room in the house. Her tears fell one by one when she didn't see Mina. She went downstairs and the lights were already turned off which means that everyone is already in their rooms. She turned the lights on and went to the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and the balcony to check if Mina was there. 

When she didn't saw any trace of Mina in the house, she fell on her knees and started crying, burying her face in her hands.

After a few minutes, the gate can be heard opening. Chaeyoung lift her head to see who is coming in.

"Mina!" Chaeyoung ran towards Mina and hugged her tightly when she saw her.

"Hey, why are you crying? What's wrong?" Mina hugged her back and patted her back while asking her with a worried voice. 

"I-I thought you- you left me a-again." Chaeyoung said as she cried more.

"I'm sorry, I just went out to get some fresh air. Stop crying I'm here now." Mina gently caressed Chaeyoung's back until Chaeyoung calmed down. When Chaeyoung calmed down, Mina gently broke the hug and caressed her face.

"Come on, let's get you back to sleep."

Mina led Chaeyoung to her room and gently tuck her in before joining her in the bed. Chaeyoung immediately dived in Mina's arms, afraid that Mina will leave her again.

"You won't leave me again right?" Chaeyoung asked.

"I won't baby." Mina smiled and kissed her forehead. 

"When I woke up you have to be here by my side alright?" Chaeyoung said while pouting.

"I will, now go to sleep so you can get better soon."

Mina was the one to wake up first. She felt someone hugging her tightly and she remembered she was with Chaeyoung.

A smile spread across her face. Chaeyoung was sleeping peacefully in her embrace. She gently tuck a strand of hair behind Chaeyoung's ear.

"What an angel." Mina mumbled.

Mina wanted to get up but she remembered Chaeyoung telling her to be there once she woke up, so she stayed there staring at Chaeyoung.

Someone then knocked at the door before opening the door. The door revealed Chaeyoung's mom.

"Chaeyoung isn't still up?" Mrs. Son asked quietly as she approached the two.

"No, aunty."

"Why don't you come down now for breakfast?"

"I promised Chaeyoung to be by her side once she woke up. I'll just wait for her aunty." Mina's response made Mrs. Son smile.

"Okay, if that's what you said." Mrs. Son quietly went out and closed the door.

Mina carefully took her phone from the bedside table to check some messages.

"Oh, mom called."

Mina dialed her mom's phone number. After a few rings, her mother picked up.
