Chapter 17

Mina's pov

I woke up with the sound of the birds chirping and the cold wind embracing me. I fell asleep in the porch with Jihyo. I looked at my side and saw Jihyo still sleeping.

Today I woke up feeling weird. I don't feel sad but I also don't feel happy. I felt empty? Maybe it's because of yesterday.

I just shrugged it off and started waking Jihyo up because I want to eat already and I don't want to leave her alone here. What if some sort of animal come here and eat her? Okay enough with that thoughts.

"Jihyo, hey wake up." I tapped her shoulder. I started shaking her but still she wouldn't budge. I suddenly thought of something.

"O MY GOD THERE IS A BIG SPIDER COMING IN OUR DIRECTION!" and at that, Jihyo suddenly stood up and screamed.

"WHERE IS IT? DID IT WENT INSIDE ME???" she started shaking her clothes while I just burst out laughing at her.

"What's funny?"

"It was a joke HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH you should've seen your face." I laughed more and she throw her jacket at me.

"Yah!"

"We're not done yet." She went inside the house while I started laughing again remembering her face.

"Where did the two of you went yesterday?" Nayeon asked while putting the foods on the table.

"We were enjoying the night view then fell asleep at the porch." I sat down and prepared my food cause gosh I was really starving.

We started eating and none of us utter any words. Well it's pretty normal to be this quiet when we are eating.

After eating, we cleaned the house and packed our things to go home.

Sana: "Invite us again Jihyo."

Nayeon: "Yes it's so nice here."

Jihyo: "I'll think about it. Now go I want to be with my house alone."

We chuckled at her and waved her goodbye.

We went to our cars but one will give a ride to the other since not all of us have a car. Of course I will give Chaeyoung a ride but at some point, it kind of felt weird to be around her today. I don't know why either.

I saw Chaeyoung coming towards me with her bags.

"Hey..." what's wrong with the tone of her voice?

"Hey, let me help with you that." I grabbed her bag and put it inside the car. I signalled her to get in as I went to the driver's seat.

The drive home was really quiet. This is new but I sensed that something is wrong.

"Mina?" This is the first time she spoked to me since this morning.

"Hmmm?"

"Uhmmm.... nothing." I looked at her and saw her looking down.

"What is it? Is there something wrong?"

"Why are you avoiding me?" Her question got me off guard. It was just now that I realized that I was really avoiding her.

"Am I?"

"Hmm... you didn't even say good morning to me a while ago or give me a morning hug. I was waiting for you to call me when we were about to go home but you didn't. I thought you don't want to give me a ride." I suddenly felt guilty when she said that.

"I'm sorry. I guess I was just so tired that's why I didn't noticed that I was ignoring you." She then nodded at me then I continued driving.

It was when we were near to her apartment that I realized why am I like this to her.

The truth of knowing that she won't return my feelings. That she will probably find someone else. That even when I always try my best to let her feel my feelings. That even if I'm just here in front of her yet she couldn't see me, made me realize that.....
