Chapter 55

Third pov

"Woah... Mina you're house is so big!" Nayeon gasped.

While Mina on the other hand was feeling nervous when her friends learn who her mom is. She don't know how to explain it.

As they approached the gate, a guard opened it for them.

"Ms. Mina, glad you came back safely." The guard greeted them.

"Thank you, is mom home already?" Mina asked as they got inside.

"Yes, she has been waiting for you and your friends."

"Okay, thank you."

Mina and her friends went inside the house.

"This is definitely my dream home." Dahyun said.

"Yah! You should've brought us here even before! I mean we kept having sleepover at our houses when you have this mansion!" Momo said to Mina while Mina just chuckled nervously.

"Mina?" A voice called from the kitchen.

"Mom!" Mina ran to her mom and hugged her.

Their friends were shocked at the sight.

"Isn't that..." Sana gasped.

"Oh, your friends?" Mina's mom asked when she saw who were Mina with.

"Uhmm yeah. Guys this is my mom." Mina quietly said. Her friends were too stunned to speak.

"Nice to meet you all. I'm Anna Mina's mom. You can just call me aunty." Mina's mom smiled to them.

"Are y-you the m-model named Anna that was s-supposed to go to our school?" Sana asked.

"Yeah, I am. I guess you have a lot of questions about my relation with Mina. Well, Mina can answer your questions." Mina's mom then turned to her daughter. "How about you bring them your roon first honey while I finish preparing dinner?"

"Don't you need some help?" Mina asked.

"It's fine. I'll just call you when the food is ready." Mina nodded and signaled her friends to follow her. They bowed to Mina's mom and followed Mina.

Once they got inside Mina's room, they all bombarded Mina with questions.

Sana: "Is Ms. Anna, the famous model that was supposed to come to our school, really your mother?"

Jeongyeon: "Is that why you seemed like you weren't excited when you learned about her coming back then?"

Nayeon: "I mean how come you don't live with her back then?"

Tzuyu: "And how come you didn't mention to us that you have a famous mother?"

Momo: "Does she get offers for a food commercial?"

"Okay okay calm down. Let me explain to you." Mina said and proceeded. "Well, I didn't live with her back then because it was her decision. She said I shouldn't be seen as her daughter, although I don't really know why. We... didn't really have a good relationship back then. We always fight and it seems like we weren't a family. I have always resented her as my mother because she can't act as one. The reason why I hated family days is because I don't have to go with. Although I have you guys, it's just... different when you come with a family."

Mina was stunned when she saw all of her friends actually listening to her attentively. She was waiting for a response but they are all just waiting for her to continue, so she just continued.

"I never felt a mother's love ever since I was little. It was something I always craved for. For many kids, their mom was their happiness, light, and everything. But for me, my mother was my sadness, darkness, and nothing. Call me harsh for saying that but as someone who didn't feel a mother's love and was abandoned by her own mother, that's what I felt like who she is to me."

"But then after the... you know... the thing between me and Chaeyoung... My mother was the one who comforted me. That's when I felt how amazing it is to have a mother. To have your mother love and care for you. She was the one who was there during those painful days. Until now, she is slowly making up for her mistakes that she has done. Back then, I can't call her mom, but now, I'm happy I could." Mina smiled and wiped her tears. She didn't know that while she was talking, tears had started to come out of her eyes.

Her friends then nodded and sighed. They didn't know that Mina is going through such pain, yet she still manage to smile and made them smile.

What a strong girl. They all thought.

She's dealing with pain because of her mother and I just added to it. I'm really the worst. Chaeyoung thought.

"Uhmm hi?" Mina said as she got no response after her life story.

"Mina-yaaaa" Sana went to her and hugged her while crying. Her friends then followed.

Have they went insane?  Mina thought.

"Yah you all looked crazy. Stop acting like I died because of the pain or something."

They all broke from the hug and smiled at each other. No words needed because through that smile, they already understand each other.

knock knock

The door revealed Mina's mom. "I'm done cooking, you can come down and eat now."

"We'll be down mom." Mina replied and Mina's mom went down first.

"That crying made me hungry." Momo said.

"You're always hungry. Don't make the crying an excuse." Tzuyu replied.

"Yah!"

"Okay you two stop. Let's go down now." Mina said as she let her friends go down first. As she was about to follow them, a hand caught her wrist. She looked back and saw Chaeyoung.

"Is there something wrong?" Mina asked.

Chaeyoung didn't say anything. Instead, she pulled Mina for a hug. Mina was shocked from the sudden hug.

"I didn't get to hug you properly a while ago. I wanted to give you the best hug but they are on the way." Chaeyoung pouted while Mina chuckled and hugged her back.

Chaeyoung broke from the hug and said, "You've been my source happiness ever since we were little. You were always there for me whenever I am suffering even though you are dealing with such pain. I'm sorry if I just added to your pain and worries. You've been making me happy, feel love and cared. Now, let me do it." Chaeyoung smiled sincerely and hugged her again. Mina can't help but cry.

Maybe it's still not too late for us.

Hi! Here's another update for you guys! The past chapters were so angsty so let me heal your hearts first before breaking them. ^^ Just joking. I've been thinking how I will end this. There's a few ideas I have but I've been making a plot for another story and I think it's better for that. I'll try to think more for a great ending <3
