Chapter 43

Third pov

"Hey, guys where do you wanna go?" Momo asked her friends.

"Somewhere fun?" Sana replied.

"Ohhh! Let's go to the beach!" Momo said with excitement.

"Then to the beach we go!"

"Are all of you going?" Jeongyeon asked.

The girls nodded. They went to their homes to get some clothes and things before going to the beach.

"Should I ask Chaeyoung if she wants to go?" Nayeon asked Jeongyeon as they were packing.

"Sure, but I guess she won't come with us again."

Nayeon took her phone and dialed Chaeyoung's number. After 5 rings, Chaeyoung picked up.

"Hey Chae..."

"Yea?"

"We're going to the beach. Do you like to come?" Nayeon was hoping that Chaeyoung would join them.

It's been a long time since Chaeyoung went out with her friends. She had been isolating herself for the past months.

"No... I'm not going."

"It's fine. If you change your mind, just call me. I'll go to you." Nayeon sighed.

"Hmm, have fun without me." Chaeyoung said and ended the call.

"She said no didn't she?" Jeongyeon asked Nayeon. Nayeon nodded and continued packing.

The 7 girls were in the car listening to Disney songs. Jeongyeon was driving while the rest were having their own concert at the back.

"LET IT GO! LET IT GO!" Nayeon started singing.

"I'LL RISE LIKE THE BREAK OF DAWNNNNNN LET IT GOOOOO!" Momo then followed.

They continued singing and dancing like that. They would throw food everywhere and would hit one another while singing. The whole ride was full of singing, shouting, dancing, and throwing.

"How did I end up being friends with crazy people?" Jeongyeon sighed and continued driving while bearing with the noise going at the back of the car.

The 7 girls arrived at the beach after a long 3-hour drive. They arranged their things and set up their chairs and tables.

"It's been a long time since I felt alive." Dahyun opened her arms and feel the wind.

While Dahyun was having her moment, Tzuyu quietly went to where she was and pushed her to the sea.

"HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA a tofu fell on the sea." Tzuyu laughed as she pointed at Dahyun. Their friends went over to them and laughed when they saw Dahyun.

"Oh, so this is how it will be." Dahyun glared at them.

"Dahyun y-you love me r-right?" Sana nervously asked.

"Dahyun d-did you k-know that you're so b-beautiful?" Tzuyu said as she stepped back little by little.

"Hey, I'm not into this." Momo raised both hands.

"That's it." Dahyun ran to get them one by one. The 6 girls ran as fast as possible to get away from Dahyun, but no matter how fast they ran, Dahyun was still able to get them and pushed them into the sea.

They splashed water at one another and caught one another on the sea.

"Let's jump when the waves come!" Nayeon shouted.

They held each other's hands and waited for the waves. When a wave would come they would jump and raise their hands. They did it many times, and sometimes one of them would get hit by the wave.

It's been a long time since they had fun together. There are a lot of things that happened in the past months that prevented them to hang out together.

After hours of playing in the water, they got dressed and gather together in the sand. Jeongyeon also made a campfire.

Nayeon: "I wish we can always spend time together like this."

Jihyo: "Hmmm, it's so peaceful out here."

Dahyun: "I just hope we are complete."

Sana: "Yeah, it still feels different when we are 9. I missed Chaeyoung and Mina."

Momo: "Have Mina replied or talked to you guys already?"

Sana: "No, she won't pick up our calls or reply to us."

Nayeon: "I just hope she is fine wherever she is now... and she won't forget us. We were not there when she was suffering. I felt guilty about it."

Jihyo: "Let's not be down for today. Let's enjoy this day together. We came here to enjoy you know."

Tzuyu: "Let's take a picture together?"

Jeongyeon: "I'd love that! Let's come closer."

All of them came closer and took a picture.

Momo: "Yah, send it to me."

Jihyo: "Let us stay together like this till the end. We might not be complete this time, but let's not lose hope. Mina and Chaeyoung will come back, and we'll be complete."

All of them smiled at one another. They took their glasses and clinked them.

"TOGETHER AS ONE!" All of them said and hugged each other.

No matter how big the challenge is, no matter how heavy the problem is, when they are together, they can face anything because they have one another. They are each other's rock and strength.

After they were done eating, they did their own things. Jihyo went near the sea and sat on the sand.

Jihyo's pov

"The sea is beautiful... the world is beautiful..."

"But it would've been nice if I will witness the beauty of the world with you."

These days, I can't seem to calm myself down. I don't know whether I will tell Mina about what's happening or just keep it.

When Mina stayed away from Chaeyoung, I hoped a bit that I have a chance to end up being with Mina. I know I wished for Chaeyoung and Mina to be together, but when Mina cleared up to me that she wants to remove her feelings for Chaeyoung, I decided to be selfish to myself just for once.

Is it bad to wish for Mina and me to be together?

But even though I wished for it, there's a part of me that is telling me to let her go now because someone needed her.

If I tell Mina what is happening, she will vanish from me, but if I don't tell her, I can be with her all the time. I'm having a hard time what to do.

Should I choose myself this time or sacrifice my happiness again?

I was about to choose not to tell her, but when I thought about what would make Mina happy, I decided to sacrifice my happiness again... for her and Chaeyoung.

I grabbed my phone and dialed Mina's number.

"Jihyo?"

"Mina... do you have time tomorrow?" I'm trying not to cry at this point. My heart ached so bad.

"Yes, why?"

"Can we meet tomorrow? I have something to tell you."

"Sure, I'll meet you tomorrow."

"Thanks, see you tomorrow." I ended the call.

"It's okay Jihyo you did the right thing." I tried to reassure myself.

It's now time to let her go.
