Chapter 9

Chaeyoung's pov

I am now decorating the stage together with Dahyun, Tzuyu, and some students for the event later.

Tzuyu: "Oh Chae, have you talked to Mina unnie already? She wasn't answering our calls yesterday and didn't even show up."

Chaeyoung: "Yeah, I stayed in her apartment yesterday."

Dahyun: "Really? Why didn't she went to us yesterday?"

Chaeyoung: "She was sick yesterday so instead of eating with us, she just took a rest in the classroom then she left right after class."

Tzuyu: "I felt bed for Mina unnie. She seems to be pushing herself too much because of her studies. Even though she's not feeling well, she still force herself to go to school."

Dahyun: "That's one of the struggles of being an honor student. People expect a lot from you. that's why you don't have any choice but to try harder and harder even if it is to sacrifice your happiness and health."

Chaeyoung: "Wow I can't relate."

Tzuyu: "Of course you can't."

We decorate the stage while talking. I got worried about what Dahyun said. I want Mina to be happy just like how I am. We promised to each other that we will be happy together forever when we were little.

"What can I do to help her? I want to help her but when it comes to school my brain is always empty...."

Tzuyu: "Aishhh! Seriously why do we even have to design this fu-"

I got startled when Tzuyu suddenly shouted

Dahyun: "Hey language"

Tzuyu: "I mean what's the point of decorating the stage when we will just take this out after the event?"

Dahyun: "And what's the point of complaining when you will just do it anyway?"

Tzuyu: "And what's the point of talking back at me when you will just get burned by me?"

Dahyun: "I just say, I will stop already... tssss how can I be so scared of someone younger than me..."

Chaeyoung: "You two stop it let's just continue this so we can meet with the others already."

I'm really excited for today's event since the students said that there will be a surprise performance from one of the students here. There are some students who performed during these kind of events already but the students said that they didn't expected that this student who will perform later can actually sing and what's more special is, this student is dedicating the song to someone.

At the school field...

"My baby is hereeeeeee..." Nayeon came to me and hug me. Seriously she always do this as if we were apart from each other for years.

"Wait wait calm down or else you will break my ribs."

"I just missed our baby you know?"

"Where are the others?"

"They're already on their seats. Let's go and watch Mina practice."

Nayeon dragged me to the seats where the others are. I sat down and look for Mina. After some seconds, my eyes landed on an angel playing gracefully. I can feel my heart beat faster. Mina looks so hot in that casual outfit while swinging her racket. My eyes seemed to be only made just to look at her.

Mina then looked at me. Our eyes met and my heart beat faster than before. I feel like my heart will escape from my chest. Who would like to have it? No just kidding I'm saving it for someone.

When our eyes met, she smiled at me lovingly. I can't help but to smile back at her. How can she be this beautiful?

After Mina's practice she went to the changing room to change. I then followed her to hand her a towel and water. I went inside the girl's changing room and look for her.

I gulped when I see her remove her shirt, exposing her toned abs. Don't worry she is wearing a sports bra underneath so I'm not a pervert at this point right? Plus she is my best friend!

"You know watching people change is bad for innocent people like you."

I got startled when she suddenly spoke. She then walked up to me that made me nervous. I mean who wouldn't?

"Hey you're drooling."

"Stop teasing me!"

She then chuckled at me. "What brings you here?"

"To hand you a towel and water. Here" I handed her the towel and water. I watched her drink the water. She is full of sweat, her hair is messy, and the way she drink her water just feels like she is seducing me. But why would I get seduced? What's wrong with me?

"It's hot here you should go out. I'll just get dress."

"No i-it's fine. I-I'll just wait for you." Gosh why did I sttuter? She then smirked at me as if she succeeded on teasing me. Now here I am watching my best friend getting dress right in front of me.

"I'm done let's go I'm hungry." She held my hand and then we walked out together.

When we went out of the changing room, there were students around the area. They are whispering to each other and smiling at Mina?

Well probably just some students who are fan girling over Mina. They must be jealous that Mina is always with me. I smirked at them to make them feel more jealous, and I guess I succeeded as their expressions changed once they saw Mina holding my hand.

"Isn't that Mina's best friend Chaeyoung?"

"She's so lucky to hold her hand."

"They look good together though."

"I'm so jealousssss."

"Don't tell me that Chaeyoung saw Mina changing?"

A student gasped and said that louder that was loud enough for me and Mina to here. I can feel my cheeks burning. But I got more shocked with what Mina replied.

"Yes she did and it is only available just for her."

She then dragged me away from the students while I am just dumbfounded with that she said. How can she say that in front of the students?
