Chapter 57

Mina's pov

I'm so glad that Jihyo is staying here for good. Things just doesn't seem right when she's not here.  I'm really looking forward to spend time with her after a long time.

But what confused me the most is Chaeyoung...

A while ago, I noticed how quiet she is. I don't know if she's sick or what. But what I noticed the most is how she looked at me and Jihyo. 

Those eyes of her... seemed so sad.

But why?

I don't want to assume things but... my mind is telling me something. Something I don't want to believe in as it is impossible. Something I don't want to get my hopes up for.

Well, back to reality. I still don't have that much plans for vacation other than the plans with my friends. I have plans with Jihyo next week. There's this new cafe near our place and I want to visit it with her. She happily agreed.

I was about to sleep when my phone rang. I smiled when I saw who it was.

"Chaeng chaeng~"

"Minariiiii~!"

"Why do you sound so excited?"

"I have a surprise for you next week!"

"Ohhhh... what's with the surprise?"

"It's just... I want to spend time with you. I miss you already."

"I miss you too. What day next week though?"

"Monday! It's a surprise! I'll just call you next week and you just have to come. Don't worry, the place is just somewhere around your house."

"Well then a surprise it is."

"I thought of coming there with you because there is something special in that place."

"Something special?"

"I heard the first customer of the day will have the opportunity to do something for someone special to them and it is mostly for those who they want to con-"

"Hmmm?"

"Y-yeah that's it. I thought it will be great if I'll be that first customer! It is hard but I'll try!"

"My baby chaeng chaeng is so cute and lovely isn't she?"

"Yah stop calling me that. Anyways, I'll go now. Mom will scold me again for sleeping late. See you next week!"

"Hmmm good night."

She's so cute.

I went to sleep with a smile and contented heart. Today has been a great day.

"Mina! Someone is looking for you!" I was in my room getting dressed for my plans with Jihyo today when my mom called me.

"Give me a minute!" I quickly fixed my hair and grabbed my stuffs before going down. I saw Jihyo talking with my mom.

"Oh Mina!" Jihyo happily waved at me.

"Mom, we'll be going. I'll be back around 10 PM." I said to my mom.

"Hmm be safe. Call me if you want me to pick you up wherever you'll go."

I went to give my mom a hug before going out.

"So where do you want to take me?" Jihyo asked.

"To a new cafe around here. I passed by it last week and there's a lot of people. It seemed popular."

We walked to the cafe which is about 10 minute walk. We just casually talked on the way to the cafe. Jihyo told me what she did for the past months. 

She spent her time there just as how she did here. The only difference is that she was not with us. She told me how she had a great time there with her family. It was great since it had been a long time since she spent some time with her family. I was glad to hear that she was doing fine.
