Chapter 30

Mina's pov

Today is just like any other day at school. Trying to listen to our professor even if I don't want to. Acting like a sincere student because that's my role. Doing a ton of activities and talking to my seatmates in the middle of class.

We are now in Science class, and I just want it to end fast. We have 5 more minutes, but our teacher is so immersed in teaching. After 5 minutes, the bell rang, indicating it's break time.

"Finally!" All of my classmates said. Science is really hard, that's why.

When I went out, I saw Chaeyoung standing in front of our door holding a plastic. Is she waiting for me?

"Hey..." She greeted me as soon as she saw me.

"What are you doing here?" I guess she misunderstood me because she suddenly looked down and sighed. I didn't intend to make her feel that I don't want her presence. I was just shocked to see her waiting for me in front of my classroom.

"I just want to ask if you want to have lunch with me in the garden. It's okay if you don't want to." She's so cute when she look like this.

"Who said I don't want to?" I said while smiling.

"It seems like you don't want to see me." She replied while pouting.

"It's not like that. Come on, let's have lunch." I held her hand and led her to the garden.

We sat on the bench, and she started preparing the foods she brought. It seems like she prepared lunch for both of us.

"Here, I cook this for the both of us." She smiled and gave me the food.

"Seriously? You cooked? That's impossible." I laughed as she pouted. Gosh, she's so cute.

"I tried my best okay?" I then saw a band-aid on the right side of her palm.

"What happened here?" I grabbed her hand and looked at her.

"Oh, I was cooking a while ago, then I accidentally touched the pan when I was cooking, so I got burned a little." She is now looking down because she knows I will scold her.

"I told you to be careful every time. Now look, you burned your hand." I scolded her.

"Sorry, I'll be careful next time."

"It's fine, thank you for this. Let's eat now?" She nodded, and we started eating.

I was shocked. It actually tasted great. I didn't expect her to be a good cook. I was about to say it tastes great when I saw her looking so down.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked her and she just nodded. I then realized that it was because I scolded her. I smiled and caressed her cheek.

"Hey, I'm not mad at you okay? I'm just worried because I don't want you to get hurt." She smiled back and continued eating.

While we were eating, I received a message from Jihyo.

Jihyo
*Where are you?
12:15 PM

I remembered that she will see me at lunch. How can I forget that?

*I'm sorry, I forgot that we will meet at lunch. I'm eating with Chaeyoung in the garden. Do you want to join?

Jihyo
*Oh, it's fine! I'll just eat with the girls. Enjoy your date!

*Yah! It's not a date. Enjoy your lunch too! You have to treat me to a lot of food later because you suggested that we go out later.

*Don't worry, I'll spoil you later.

"Who is that?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Oh, it's Jihyo." I replied.

"Why did Jihyo slept at your place yesterday?" I was caught off guard by her question.

"I told you it is just because I want to have a sleepover." I don't want to lie to her, but knowing that she is the reason, I lied.

"Oh, okay..." Is there something wrong with her? Why does she look so down today?

Finally, school ended. I am now on my way to meet Jihyo since we will be hanging out. I went to where she was with our friends.

Tzuyu: "Do you guys have any plans today?"

Jeongyeon: "I'm just going to have a movie marathon with Nayeon. Well, she forced me."

Sana: "I'm going to Dahyun's house."

Momo: "Yeah, eat all day."

Jihyo: "Mina and I are going to hang out."

Dahyun: "Okay then, see you guys tomorrow." We all waved goodbye and went on our way.

Jihyo and I were about to go when I saw Chaeyoung standing alone, so I went over to her.

"Are you not going home?" I asked as soon as I reached her.

"I am just waiting for dad. He will pick me up." She said and smiled.

"Okay, text me when you got home."

"hmm, have fun."

Jihyo and I took the bus to the place where she will take me. I don't have any idea where it is.

"Seriously, where are we going?"

"Just wait, don't be too excited."

"I'm just asking." She chuckled and laid my head on her shoulder.

"You can sleep first. It is an hour away from here. I'll just wake you up when we got there." She said and I wrapped my arms around her waist to sleep comfortably. Her right arm found its way to my waist, which made me more comfortable.

Before I fell asleep, I heard her say something

"How I wish I could hold you like this every day."

What does she mean by that?
