Chapter 8

Mina's pov

I woke up from the sound of my phone. I was about to get up when I was stopped by something. Chaeyoung was tightly hugging me. A smile crept on my face seeing her sleeping so tightly in my embrace.

How I wish to wake up every morning with you as my sight.

I got up carefully since Chaeyoung is a light sleeper. I then reached for my phone on my bedside table. Who the heck is calling me early in the morning?

I grabbed my phone and read the name of the caller.

"Mrs. Myoui"

Why is she calling me early this morning? This is so not like her. I don't want to answer it but the thought of her calling early in the morning made me think that it is something important.

Yes I hate my mom. But still, I care for her and worry about her. I sighed and picked up the call.

"Hello?" My voice is still raspy since I just woke up

"Mina? Oh sorry did I woke you up?"

"Obviously, why did you call this early?"

"Oh uhm its just that... I want to... are you..."

"Just say it." Why is she acting like this?

"Oh yeah, uhm a friend of yours named Chaeyoung called me yesterday and asked where were you."

"So?"

"Uh... are you... are you alright? I-I mean its just that she said she can't reach you yesterday so I got wor- so I just want to ask where were you yesterday."

"You made me go to school so I went to school then since I'm not feeling well I went to the pharmacy then just stroll around after."

Now this conversation is getting awkward. Me and my mom don't really talk that much with each other. When we talk we usually fight or when I ask for something.

But today why does it feels like she is worried about me? I just shrugged it off since I know she won't.

"I'm sorry if I made you go to school in that state it's just that-"

"I'm used to it so you don't have to be sorry. You always say that school comes first right?" I cut her off

"I know but-"

"It's fine. I'll go now we still have school today. Bye"

I ended the call cause I can't stand her. I don't know why. She didn't scold me nor did she got angry at me.

Is it because I got used to her being a terrible mom? Or is it because I felt emotional because it seems like she cares for me?

I just set that thought aside and decided to wake Chaeyoung up.

"Chaeng, chaeng hey wake up now."

I tapped her shoulder a bit since I'm an angel who wake people up in a nice way.

She groaned and hug me tighter. She's so cute what should I do?

"Hey we need to get ready or else we'll be late for school." I tapped her back and she faced me.

I gulped suddenly when she faced me that made our faces just inches away from each other. Hey Mina stop thinking something bad in the morning!!!

"5 minutes more pleaseeee."

She whined and pouted. Gosh how can I resist her when she's this cute. But seriously we have to get up now cause today is sports day and I need to practice cause I am a part of a game.

"I'm sorry but we really have to get up now. Remember that today is sports day and I have to practice while you have to help in setting up the stage?"

I caressed her cheek and smiled at her so that she won't get mad. She nodded and pouted as a response.

"Don't worry you can sleep for how long as you want later."

"Can I sleep here tonight again?"

"You can sleep here whenever you want."

"Yesss thank youuuuu." She then hugged me that made my heart beat really fast. If there is a heart race competition, I would definitely get first place at this point.

At the school...

As soon as we arrived in the school, I went to the field while Chaeyoung went to the stage.

I have to practice for tennis later since I am the representative of our class.

I changed into my casual clothes. I'm just wearing a simple white shirt and a gray sweatpants. As I came out of the changing room, there are students smiling at me and whispering to one another.

"She's so pretty omg"

"Casual clothes fit her the best"

"The opponent of her already lost with visuals I'm telling you"

"How can someone be so talented and pretty at the same time?"

Those are just some of the things I heard from the students. I just smiled and winked at them that made them squealed. I went to the field and started practicing.
