My perception of love is between a man and a woman.

Love exists between a girl and a boy.

Love is only for she and him.

Love must takes place just to a king and a queen.

I grew up holding the idea of love just like Barbie and Ken because that was they told me. It was the idea that they made me believe and understand the concept of love. You know, a typical boy and girl love story.

They met.

They became friends.

They turned to lovers and at the end, getting married together and they live happily ever after like a fairy tale.

But...

That idea changed when I met her, Deanna Wong.

She, who made me questioned everything; my perceptions, my preference and my feelings.

From that day on, I asked myself.

Is it wrong to love Barbie instead of Ken?

Is it wrong to feel something in a queen but not in a king?

Is it wrong to be with her rather than him?

Is it wrong that I am the happiest when I am in a girl rather than with a boy?

Is it wrong to choose a woman but not a man?

and...

Do I need to say sorry for feeling these things?

It's either magkakatuluyan kami hanggang dulo or maghihiwalay ang landas naming dalawa sa huli.

Damn. I really love this woman. I can't imagine myself loving another person aside from her.

"Whatever happens, I will always be here...for you...for us. Hindi kita iiwan, Ririe," she said while still kissing my head.

This moment is so perfect. The sound of the small waves, the sun setting at the horizon and the person I am with right now. It feels like surreal.

"Promise?" I asked.

"I promise," she said, smiling.

When I was a kid, I never liked sunsets. Para kasi sa 'kin ay simbolo ito ng katapusan ng lahat ng bagay but when I met her, when I found her, I started to love sunset.

"The best setter award goes to..." "...Deanna Wong!" Announcement ng host.
