Chapter 13:

"Your highness, are you really sure about this?" I look around when I heard an unfamiliar voice. I notice that I was in a place with trees around me. Pine trees to be exact and a fog was around the place. Hindi naman siya mahamog to the point na wala na akong nakikita. Sakto lang at malamig pa ang klima.

May nakita akong babae na mukhang nasa late 20's na habang kausap nito ang isang bata. She has a curly blond hair and a brown eyes. The child has a black straight hair and emerald eyes.

Averianna.

"You wanted to meet the famous oracle of the East to know your future. Your highness,  isn't it a dangerous thing to do? To know the future?" ngumiti ng tipid si Averianna saka ito tumalikod sa babae.

"Not at all, Denise. I actually wanted to know the future so that I can prepare for it. The future is uncertain and uncertain things are the scariest thing in this world." I was left in awe because of what she said. She was what? Five years old yet she thinks so mature of her age. She is already making her steps to the future.

"Your father, His Majesty will be mad once he will heard of this."

"I know you will always side with me, Denise. After all, I am your master." she put both of her hands behind her back then stare at the trees in front of her. "They say that ignorance is a bliss but what do you think about knowledge, Denise?" she smirk leaving me surprise of her next words. "It is a gift only a few can understand. And I am one of those. I will always choose knowledge over ignorance for ignorance is only a thin cover behind the painful truth of life.."

I woke up with a headache. I still couldn't get over the fact that Averianna was actually a smart girl. I admit she was smarter than me. Kung ganoon na siya mag-isip nung bata pa siya paano pa kaya nung lumaki na?

I suddenly want to meet her then magpapaturo ako ng tips kung paano makakasurvive sa mundong to panghabang buhay.

"Ignorance is only a thin cover behind the painful truth of life.." I said remembering what Averianna had said. May nakilala pa akong tao sa past niya. She called her Denise but where can I find her? And how about the famous oracle of the east? May posibilidad kaya na makausap ko siya?

I was in a trance thinking about the oracle. If she can see the future then maybe she can see the past? After all, she's an oracle. Nagising ako sa pag-iisip ng gising ng may kumatok sa pintuan ko. Binuksan ko ito revealing a smiling Charlotte. 

She was always like this. She will knock on my door then smile widely at me. Parang tanga.

Hindi siya nakasuot ng uniporme dahil wala naman kaming klase kaya lumabas na ako ng kwarto ko ng nakanight dress lang. Dumiretso ako sa maliit na kusina saka kumuha ng gatas sa maliit naming ref. Siguro ganito ang kwarto namin dahil anak lang kami ng baron? I think the rooms are getting upgraded the higher your status will be. Tsk. Nobles.

"May balak ka bang gawin sa araw na to, Lady Solace?"

"I already told you to cut the Lady thing off, Charlotte. Naiirita ako." I said to her, making sure that the annoyance I feel can be heard in my voice.
