Magkatabi kaming nakatayo ngayon ni Clifford dito sa veranda habang pinagmamasdan ang langit.

Napaka aliwalas itong pagmasdan,hindi masyadong maaraw.

Hinapit niya ang bewang ko saka ako hinalikan sa sentido na syang mas ikinangiti ko.

"Hubby..."

"Yes,Wife." halos pabulong niyang wika sa aking tenga,his whisper sent shivers down to my spine. Damn,nagtayuan din ang balahibo ko sa batok.

"Can you bake cupcakes and cookies for me?" malambing kong ani para mas makumbinsi ko siya saaking gusto.

"I'm not that good in baking but I know how to make those, what flavor do you want?"

"chocolate and cheese!" I said with a wide smile, he also smiled then sniffed.

"Alright, I'll bring it here when it's cooked. Just don't come down and just wait for me here, okay? How about drinks?"

"I want a Chocolate shake," I said with a smile.

"Alright, I'll be back in a few minutes."

He kissed my forehead first before walking to the kitchen, I just watched him walk away with a smile on my lips.

I sat on the couch here on the veranda and picked up the book from the table to read while waiting for Clifford.

After a few minutes,I didn't realize that I fell asleep, I just woke up when I fell Clifford's gentle touch on my cheek to wake me up.

"Get up, Wife. I'm done baking, taste it. I'm sure you'll like it," he said with a wide smile as he showed me a tray full of cookies and cupcakes as I requested to him.

I immediately smiled seeing it because as he said it looked delicious and it was really well baked. He laid them on the table and then helped me to sit down when he saw me about to sit.

I also noticed the chocolate shake on the table, maybe he had already put it down before he woke me up.

I drank the chocolate shake first which I immediately smiled because of its delicious taste, I immediately followed the cookies.

Naupo siya sa harap ko habang pinagmamasdan ang pagsubo ko sa niluto niya,natawa ako ng makita ang paglunok niya habang sinusubo ko ang binake niya.

"You're right, it tastes so good!" I said smiling.

I immediately looked at him from the cookies I was eating when I heard his loud sigh as if a thorn had pulled out.

He immediately shook his head when he saw that I laughed at his reaction.

"Stop making fun of me," he pretended to be annoyed but he also couldn't stop the edge of his lip from rising for a smile.

"I'm not making fun of-" I didn't finish what I was about to say when I suddenly felt nauseous.

He immediately approached me and then rubbed my back with concern in his eyes.

"Are you okay? Does it taste bad? I can bake again." he said worriedly.

I took a deep breath and then smiled before speaking to show that I was okay.

"I'm fine, I just don't feel good."

"Did you take medicine?" he said worriedly, I immediately nodded even though I hadn't really taken any medicine earlier.

"I'm fine, don't worry." I said in a reassuring tone.

"Alright, just tell me when you're feeling bad." I nodded with a miserly smile on my lips then I took a cupcake.

He is very talented because he is also good at baking.

Napatingin ako sa mukha niya habang kumakain,his angelic face made me smile. He looks so innocent. Paano ko nagawang maglihim sa lalaking ito? Damn,he doesn't deserve it. Yeah,alam kong para din ito sa ikakabuti niya ngunit hindi ko maiwasang maguilty dahil alam kong kahit ganon ay naglilihim parin ako.

When I ran out of one, I immediately took another, which I immediately regretted because I was nauseous again.

He immediately stroked my back to improve how I felt, I smiled and was immediately replaced by a grin as I was nauseous again. At this point I went to the bowl to vomit.

I felt him immediately following me, he stroked my back and then hold my hair to prevent it from sinking into the bowl.

Pakiramdam ko ay naisuka ko lahat ng kinain ko kanina at pati nadin ang laman loob ko, he immediately helped me stand up and then gave me a glass of water.

"Are you okay? Rest in bed first. I'm worried about you, do you feel any pain in your body?" I looked into Clifford's face as he said those things. Full of concern reflected in his eyes.

"I'm fine,nahihilo lang ako konti pero hindi naman malala." sabi ko ng may tipid na ngisi sa labi. He helped me out of the bathroom and laid me down on the bed.

Dahil na din siguro sa pagod ay nakatulog ulit ako,nagising na lang ako ng magtatanghalian na at namahanda na ang pagkain.

Gaya kanina ay may bitbit na tray si Clifford na siyang naglalaman ng lunch namin.

Magkaharap kaming kumain sa veranda,mabuti na lang at hindi na ako nasusuka. Hindi na din ako nahihilo,naging malaking tulong ang pag idlip ko upang mas mapaganda ang pakiramdam ko

Wala siyang imik habang kumakain,nahahalata ko ding parang anlalim ng iniisip niya habang kumakain.

Pinagsawalang bahala ko na lang ito, siguro ay nag alala lang siya kanina kaya ganon.

Natapos kaming kumain ng wala nagsasalita saamin,siya nadin ang nagliglit ng pinagkainan namin ng wala pading imik.

Maya-maya ay biglang umulan ng malakas kaya pumasok na ako sa loob ng kwarto,paglipas ng ilang minuto ay wala padin si Clifford kaya naisip kong magbasa muna ng libro tungkol sa pagbubuntis. Nagbabasakaling may makuhang impormasyon upang mas makatulong sa pagbubuntis ko.

Kinuha ko ito mula sa pinaka mababang drawer sa tabi ng kama,tahimik akong nagbabasa ng biglang bumukas ang pinto.

Hindi ko na tinignan kung sino ito dahil sa kaba,napatingin ako sa librong binabasa ko. Halata sa cover nito kung tungkol saan ang librong ito.

Hindi ko alam kung itatapon ko ito sa gilid o itatago sa kumot,baka kasi magduda siya kung basta-basta ko na lang itong itatago kaya naisip kong pasimpleng itabi ito sa likod ko.

Nang maitabi kona ito sa likod ko para hindi niya mapansin ay agad akong napalingon sa kanya ng may hilaw na ngiti.

Napalunok at kinabahan ako ng makita ang panlalamig sa mata niya. May hawak din siyang cellphone na parang kakababa niya lang ng tawag.

"I called Doctor Fariñas about your condition." His cold voice sent shivers down to my spine.

Napalunok ako bago nagsalita.

"Anong sabi niya?" may bahid ng pag aalalang tanong ko.

Mahabang katahimikan bago siya nagsalita gamit ang malamig niyang boses na siyang ikinaguho ng mundo ko.

"Damn, Precious. Are you fucking pregnant?!" bakas ang galit at panlalamig niyang sabi.

Sunod-sunod ang pagtulo ng luha ko,hindi ko alam kung tatayo ba ako upang hawakan siya o mananatili sa kinakaupuan.

Damn,tell me I was just dreaming! This couldn't be real! No..no,damn!
