Chapter 27 | anger detox

Luka didn't feel like being akumatized today. So after that fight with Lila he went right to Adriens place, knowing his boyfriend would calm his anger. Since it was broad daylight he couldn't jump into the window as Viperion as he usually did so he was actually going to go through the front door for once.

As he walked the hall down to Adriens apartment, he could smell something amazing. Someone was definitely cooking something. He knocked on the door, and when it was opened Adrien stood with an apron, his hair tied back and a slightly confused look.

"Luka-"

"I need to calm down. You're like my stress reliever, so I came here" he sighed, immediately wrapping his arms around his boyfriend.

"What happened?" Adrien asked.

"Lila"

That's all he needed to know. Anything involving Lila was always a mess of anger and akumas.

"Ok, but don't call me Adrien right now. Delilah is over we're cooking cupcakes" Adrien replied, placing a quick kiss on his cheek.

"That's what that smell is... it smells amazing. I'll tell you the full story later then" Luka said.

Adrien let him in and Luka out his guitar by the door for the time being. He hadn't met the girls housing Adrien yet, all he knew is they were married and very very nice. One was a cop and usually out working during the day and the other owned the apartment building.

"Who was that?" Delilah asked, mixing the icing.

"A visitor" Adrien replied.

Catching her attention she turned to see who this visitor was and upon seeing Luka immediately remembered him from Adriens description.

"Ahhh it's the boy you ramble about. Got back in contact Huh?" She teased.

"You ramble about me?" Luka smiled, his anger already melting.

"Well... maybe..." Adrien admitted.

Delilah knew a young couple when she saw one, and that right there was young recently out of the closet love at its finest.

"Well you came at a good time, these cupcakes should be done soon" she said.

"They smell so good, I could smell them from the hall" Luka replied.

"They're the best, I don't know what magic she puts in them but every time I make them on my own it never turns out the same" Adrien added.

Luka could just tell that this girl was incredibly sweet, and he was so thankful to her and her wife for keeping Adrien safe. He knew Adrien needed some motherly moments after the loss of him own mum, so it seemed Delilah was proving that as best as she could. No one could replace Adriens mum, but she could at least give him some motherly comfort.

"Alright, who's licking the spoon once we've iced these cakes?" Delilah asked.

That was enough to get the attention of the boys back to the cooking, and before you could say 'icing' they were in the kitchen area helping decorate the cupcakes. They spent a considerable amount of time making them look pretty and good enough to eat in one sitting, it was calming for Luka who needed that right now. Maybe he could make cakes with Adrien more often, it was a fun couples activity for sure.

Once they were all done, they split the batch so Adrien could have some and Delilah could have some. Out of the batch of 24, it halved into 12 each, more than enough to last a while.

"Well, you boys have done a great job with these delicious looking cakes. I think I'll go take some to my daring wife, she should be on her lunch break soon" Delilah said, packing her share into a container.
