Chapter 28 | case file

On his desk sat a brand new laptop. He'd saved his last few pay-checks for one since could do online school, and it was just useful to have a laptop.

Adriens list of things to get his life back in track was slowly being filled up.

He'd been to the doctor about his legs, he was talking to a therapist thanks to Lilith connecting him to one that specialised in runway cases, he was helping around the apartment building as a way to thank Lilith and Delilah for housing him and now he was looking for an online school to join. He'd even re-connected with Luka and started dating.

Things were going rather well recently. And with his new laptop he would be able to achieve more, but right now he was busy reading his own case file.

Today, after six months of him being missing the police finally released their findings to the public, so he sat at his desk and read along.

Events:
May 15th

Agreste household wakes up, prepares for the day at roughly 7am Adrien has breakfast, dresses for school and is dropped off by father Gabriel Agrestes assistant Nathalie Sancoeur by 8am.

He attends classes as normal, teacher Caline Bustier commented on him seeming disassociated and dazed at some points during the day. Toward the end of the day friend [redacted] asked him if he was ok to which Adrien responded he was tired from extra curricular activities the day before. He finishes his work and hands it in when the bell rings. Leaving school, he waits to be picked up but due to a busy schedule at home no one came.

Close friend [redacted] arrives at school to pick up his sister and offers Adrien a ride home. Taking the offer Adrien gets into the back of his bike and is taken home. [redacted] commented that he looked upset, and when asked what was wrong they briefly talked about his tight schedule, strict father and negative emotions. [redacted] comforted him and they shared a hug before he left to go pick up his sister. [redacted] is the last outside the household to see Adrien.

When Adrien walks in his father commented he should have waited to be picked up, Adrien argues they forgot him and took the ride from his friend so he wasn't left waiting. After that he goes up to his room to practice piano.

Gabriel and Nathalie don't see him from the time he went upstairs to when dinner was served, as Gabriel was working in his office and Nathalie was resting in bed due to a health problem. But they both say they heard piano upstairs for a few hours.

It's unknown what Adrien did in his room during that time, aside from play piano. When dinner was served at about 7pm, he came downstairs to eat and seemed normal, if not a bit tired. At around 7:40 he goes back up to his room to shower and finish some homework before going to bed at about 9:13.

There is an akuma attack during this time, but the Agrestes are unaffected. By 10:45 Gabriel reads an email concerning school reports and upon seeing Adrien grades have dropped, he calls Adrien down to talk. Tired and in his pyjamas Adrien comes downstairs and a fight between them proceeds to break out. Nathalie hears this and is woken up, she also arrives to the scene to see what was going on.

Gabriel refuses to comment on the fight, and the few details we have are kept confidential due to Adriens safety and privacy. Nathalie commented that it was verbal, and later pulled Gabriel away leaving Adrien to run back upstairs.

Nothing is heard from Adrien for the rest of the night, assuming he went back to bed. At 7am the next morning on may 16th Nathalie realises that Adrien hasn't come down for breakfast yet and goes to wake him only to find his room empty. She searches the rest of the house before altering his father he'd missing and the police were called at 7:16.
