It all happened so fast, all that emotion poured out into one big motion.

With the words of activation, as soon as Adriens hand hit the surface of the platform he stood on, the ground began to crack. But the usual damage done by a cataclysm was no where near the damage this one had done.

A shockwave was sent through the city, the Eiffel Tower shattered, the ground below it cracked for miles, and a noise comparable to a sonic boom sounded through the air as one save green and black wave of destruction rocked Paris. He was unaware he could harness that much power, but there was no time to be in awe.

Ladybug had understood his words, and fling her yo-yo around a building and swung off before the tower shattered. And before the grown beneath him fell, Cat launched himself at Luka, wrapped his arms around him and the rope holding him up snapped off the collapsing building.

Before they knew it they were falling, and all Adrien could do was hold his boyfriend tight and brace for impact. He was already in pain from his legs, at this point another hit to the ground wouldn't feel much different.

He could hear Felix and Lila shriek in terror as the tower went down. The bystanders that lined the streets watched in terror as the city around them was cracked to bits by the shockwave.

The suits of the miraculous had a considerable amount of strength to it. As he saw the ground approach he knew that while he might not die thanks to the suit, it'd hurt like hell. He braced for impact, and then-

Crash.

He and Luka hit the ground, debris falling on top of them. The loud sounds of the falling tower crashing to the ground around them made them both brace for any more impact that may fall on top of them.

Slowly the noise and rumbling stopped and a massive cloud of dust fell over the impact zone. Everything was still, and they both lay there in the rubble for a moment.

Once it was silent, only the sounds of police and ambulance sirens in the distance could be heard. Adrien weakly pushed himself up off the ground, the debris that fell on top of him falling off him as he moved. He felt like absolute hell, like he'd been swimming in lava he was in so much pain. Luka lay beneath him, bruised and barely conscious, but alive.

"Luka-" he gasped.

Tearing the tape from his mouth and frantically pulling at the rope around him to loosen it, Luka gave him a weak smile.

"Adrien..." he replied.

"Oh my god, Luka I'm so sorry it was the only thing I could think of. Look I'm going to fix this, I'll... I'll take you to a hospital and- ow, ow..." Adrien panicked, sharp pain racking his body, mainly in the legs as he moved around to tear off the ropes.

Luka felt the ropes loosen around him, and finally they were tossed aside and he was free, his blood could circulate his limbs again.

"You're kind of blurry..." Luka muttered, barely cohesive.

The landing as well as the jab and bleeding in his eye made him so woozy and concussed he could barely make out Adrien above him, but he felt comfort knowing he was there.

"I'm so sorry Luka... I promise I'll fix this-" Adrien sobbed, pulling his boyfriends limp body into his arms and holding him tight.

"I'm sorry for letting myself get caught, and not being able to protect you like I promised" Luka said weakly.

"No- no no no, don't apologise you're the victim here. Please don't feel responsible, it's no one but Felix and Lila's fault. But it's my fault for collapsing the tower and hurting you more but it was the only way I could save the miraculous and you at the same time-" Adriem rambled.
