Diego:
"What's all this for?""Your birthday, duh!"
Diego blinked a few times at the scene on the table before him. You woke up early and made him pancakes with bacon, and a chocolate cake. You bought him a present and had it sitting at the table next to his cake. You wanted him to have his birthday be special for once.
He looked at you and you just smiled brightly at him. You urged him to sit down and start eating. He slowly sat down and you sat down next to him. He was at a loss for words, he really didn't know what to say.
"You did all this...for me?" He asked, picking up a fork.
You slowly nodded, "I just wanted you to have a nice birthday."
He couldn't help but smile at you. He was so grateful that he couldn't help but lean over and kiss you deeply. What words couldn't express, the kiss expressed.
"I love it baby, thank you." He sincerely told you.
You grinned, "Eat so you can open your present!"
"This box is my present?"
"Uh yeah?"
"I thought you were my present, but this works too."
Luther:
"Um, what's in that big box?""Your birthday cake!"
Luther watched you set it on the table and then open it to show him. His birthdays were never really anything special. Having to share a birthday with 6 other siblings was hard. He was shocked you even went out of your way to get him a birthday cake.
He watched you leave and come back with a bag. You set it on the table and motioned for him to sit. He couldn't believe you were doing this for him. He did but at the same time he was just so overwhelmed with joy that you were doing this.
"You didn't have to do this, honey.." Luther told you.
"I know, but you deserve a good birthday." You replied, sitting next to him.
He smiled and reached over, grabbed your hand and pulling you up into his lap. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed your forehead lovingly.
"I don't deserve someone as amazing as you." He told you, setting his chin on your shoulder.
"Likewise. Now open your gift!" You smiled at him.
"Okay, okay I am."
"I hope you like it."
"It's from you so of course I'm gonna like it."
Five:
"What's with the balloons?""For your birthday decorations!"
It took Five a second to register what exactly you were doing. You invited him over and he was shocked to find you decorating. It wasn't much, just a balloon and some cupcakes, and of course a gift wrapped sitting on the table.
It touched Five deeply that you would do this for him. Seeing you all excited to celebrate something he avoided celebrating for the longest time, it touched him. He hadn't celebrated his birthday for years. It was never special.
"Darling, you didn't need to do this." He told you.
"You deserve to be celebrated, Five." You replied.
You made him sit down as you grabbed plates for the cupcakes. He was still surprised you did this for him and couldn't help but to stand up and wrap his arms around you from behind.
"Thank you for making me feel special." He said, setting his chin on your shoulder.
You smiled, "You are. Now sit and open your gift!"
"You didn't have to get me anything."
"Yes I did."
"You're the only thing I'll ever want."
Ben:
"Why are you up this early?""I wanna be the first to tell you happy birthday!"
Ben rubbed his eyes and blinked a few times. His birthday wasn't anything important to him, it never has been. In fact, it was hardly ever properly celebrated growing up. He just never bothered to put forth the effort to really celebrate it.
You left the room and came back moments later with a gift and two plates with waffles. He grabbed the plates from you and watched you as you sat down and put the present on the bed. You smiled at him as he handed you your plate.
"Sweetie, this is a lot.." He told you.
"Not really, but you deserve it." You replied.
He couldn't help but smile at you. He couldn't believe he got this lucky. He really was grateful that you did something so small for him. He leaned over and kissed your cheek gently.
"Thank you so much." He whispered in your ear.
You chuckled, "Of course! Now open your present!"
"Can I eat the waffles first?"
"Oh alright."
"By the way, you'll always be the best gift I've ever gotten."
Klaus:
"What smells good in here?""Your birthday cake!"
Klaus didn't think he was hearing you correctly. He had to properly register that you were talking about his birthday. He looked at the freshly baked cake and the gift sitting on the table. There was even a home cooked meal prepared.
His birthday wasn't important to him, it was just another day. He didn't like to celebrate it, he didn't know why, he just didn't. He didn't see a reason to. Now here you were wanting to celebrate his birthday, and it really did warm his heart.
"Oh angel, my birthday isn't important." He told you.
"Don't be silly, of course it is!" You replied.
You motioned for him to sit, but instead he walked over to you. He hugged you and laid his head on yours. In that moment he felt so loved, more so than he had in a very long time.
"The cake smells delicious, thank you." He told you, kissing your head.
You smiled, "Good, now sit! You have a present to open!"
"I always enjoy a good gift."
"Good, now open it!"
"Though I must say, nothing can really compare to God's gift of you."
