"-What!? No! No one needs killing!"
Diego blinked at you a few times. If no one needed killing, you didn't seem to be sad or upset, he was confused. Did something good happen? Did you have a deep and dark secret you wanted to reveal? He was your big brother, he had to be there for you. Besides, it gave him great teasing material.
"Okay...? Then what's going on?" Diego questioned, crossing his arms.
You smiled, "I just wanted to let you know that I love you."

Diego smiled softly at you. He wasn't some softie by any stretch of the imagination, but he had to admit he had a soft spot for you. How could he look at you and not love you? He didn't like to say it, rather he preferred showing it. Though, when it came to you, he could bare saying it every now and again.
Diego just kept grinning, "That's it?"
You nodded, "Yeah, that's it."
"I know I don't say it often at all, but I love you too, kid. I'll always have your back no matter what, even if you annoy me constantly."
Luther: "Luther, I have something important to say."
"Please don't tell me you have another boyfriend/girlfriend. It's bad enough that Allison's having problems and-"
"-That's not it! You know what? Forget it."
Luther sighed. He knows your track record with relationships and what he said came out entirely the wrong way. He didn't mean to hurt your feelings, he just spoke without thinking. He knew that was something you absolutely hated when he did. Whatever you had to say must've been really important and he blew it.
"No, I'm sorry. What's important that you have to tell me?" He apologized, looking at you.
You shrugged, "It's important to tell you I love you."
