"You guys need to stay back!"

You watched as Ben emerged from the back room of the bank, you didn't even know it was him until you met his eyes. Viktor was so desparately trying to keep everything under control so he could save his brother. At one time, his brother sacrificed for him, and he was willing to do the same in return.

You knew that something had been going on with Ben. He had been acting all kinds of weird. Ignoring you, then disappearing, then contacting you to apologize, and you hadn't seen him since. The siblings had told you he was with some girl, Jennifer, and their energies are causing a cleanse of the timelines. What you hadn't realized was that him and Jennifer were closer than you originally thought.

Part of you knew it wasn't necessarily his fault but then the other part of you knew that it kind of was. He had been struggling a great deal over the last few weeks with readjusting to the outside world. You were with him throughout his time in prison and tried your hardest to be there for him when he got out.

Ben had always reminded you that he loved you and appreciated you being there for him. You helped him escape from his past and navigate who he was outside of being a sparrow. Your heart was telling you what you two had was real and it was genuine. Now your head was telling you that he played you. You couldn't bring yourself to believe it. Ben couldn't, wouldn't do that to you, and you held on to that.

"Is that..is that Jennifer?" You whispered, watching another figure emerge from the back room.

"You get away from him!" Jennifer spat at Viktor.

"Ben I can help you!" Viktor pleaded.

"Ben, please let him at least try." You pleaded, walking closer. "It's gonna be okay."

"Y/N?" Ben questioned, his eyes softening. "What are...why are you...AH!"

"Ben!" You exclaimed, running to him. "Ben! Hey, hey it's okay, just breathe."

"What's happening?" He whispered. "It hurts...Y/N it hurts so bad."

"Y/N, stay back!" Luther exclaimed.

You and Ben locked eyes. There he was, there was your Ben. His puppy like eyes stared into yours, his face going soft. You knew he was holding on for you. You could see in his face, behind the blisters and angry glow, he was in emotional pain. He was still your Ben and you couldn't not help him.

"I have you. I love you, okay? It's me and you." You whispered, smiling weakly at him, trying to buy Viktor some time to power up and grab onto him. "This is real, we are real. We're gonna fix this and us, me and you, we can ran away just like we talked about."

Ben had promised you before he went to prison that he was going to marry you one day. It was pillow talk, you were both tipsy, but you knew he meant it. His hand was running through your hair, his lips pressing to your forehead every few minutes. He talked briefly about maybe having kids, be it adoption, surrogacy, or you carrying them. It was the first time he had ever mentioned it.
