Domestic Things: Headcanon

Diego:

Mowing the lawn

It was 7 am on a Saturday when you heard the mower go off. You and Diego had just moved into your new house a few days ago and were settling in. You groaned and reached over to snuggle into Diego but he wasn't in bed. You blinked your eyes open and sat up. You rubbed your eyes as the sound of the mower came closer to the window.

You climbed out of bed and opened your blinds to find Diego mowing the lawn. He was in shorts, no shirt, and wearing a ridiculous sun hat. You rubbed your eyes and glared at him through the window. You were happy he was settling in but you knew you were going to have a talk with him later.

He was not going to be the guy that mows his lawn at 7 am.

Luther:

Decorating

You and Luther had just finished unpacking your new apartment. You left to get some groceries only to come home to find him admiring the wall. It was an empty wall, you didn't know why he was just admiring the wall. He was deep in thought with whatever he was thinking of. He walked forward and opened the bag on the ground, pulling out a hammer and nails.

It dawned on you that Luther was about to put together the shelving unit your friend had got you as a housewarming gift. You left the decorating to him because you didn't want to do it and he seemed to enjoy it. After all, you liked watching him work on small things for you. He looked cute.

It was the using a hammer and nails that had you concerned.

Five:

Breakfast

You had been with Five for a long time and the one thing he always managed to do for you, was cook you breakfast. Everytime he spent the night and now that you're living together, breakfast was always made for you. It had become a morning routine for the two of you that started your day off calm and on the right foot.

The breakfast was nothing extravagent, just some eggs with toast or oatmeal with cut up fruit. He always made you coffee/tea to go with the meal as well. It was a gesture that you appreciated and made you feel thought of and cared for. It was his way of taking care of you before he left for the day.

And he always planted a kiss on your forehead when you sat down.

Ben:

Cleaning

He was a neat freak, you were used to it by now. He liked this in a particular way and cleaned a certain way. You also liked things a certain way and the two of you were able to compromise. Ben just liked watching you clean because he found your concentration to be amusing. He also just liked how calm the air was when you two cleaned together.

Ben always cleaned the kitchen and living area, you took the bathroom and bedroom. He enjoyed listening to your humming and the light conversation that carried on throughout the home. He liked how cozy it felt to do something so small with you, he truly looked forward to it every weekend.

Even if you left streaks on the mirror, he wouldn't say a word to you.

Klaus:

Laundry

Klaus never liked to do laundry until you offered to do it with him. Now everytime you came in with a basket of clothes, he was all ready to dive in. He didn't know what it was about doing laundry with you that felt so calming, but he just found it to be calming. He just liked the quietness that fell between the two of you when you folded laundry.

He always took the pants and shirts, you took the underwear and socks. He enjoyed watching you do something so domestic. There was just something about you two spending time like this that made Klaus feel safe and comfortable. It was an activity he always found himself looking forward to.

And he also just liked looking at your underwear.

Viktor:

Dishes

Viktor was never particular about how he liked things done as long as it got done. He didn't like dirty dishes in the sink so you offered to help one day early on in your relationship. Now he can't do them without your help, he washed and you dried. He didn't know why he enjoyed this small activity with you so much, but he did.

Maybe it was watching you concentrate or having you close to him, Viktor didn't know. The way your lips came into a small pout as you dried the glasses made him melt on the inside. He just enjoyed watching you do small things. He found it to be a constant reminder that you were actually there with him, alive and safe.

He found himself saving the dishes in the sink for you to do together.
