He never stopped looking for you. When Allison and Reginald set off the device, you were separated. You never found anyone else, neither did he. He was lost without you and you him. Neither one of you ever gave up hope of finding each other.

Diego:

It had been two years since he had last seen you. He wondered what you were doing and what you had been up to. He missed you deeply. He always found himself pulling your picture out of his wallet and tracing his finger over your face. He just needed to see you, to hold you, he needed to know you were okay. The last time he saw you, you were unconscious on the ground after Reginald knocked you out.

Diego blamed himself for being separated from you. He felt stupid to have fallen for another one of his father's tricks. Most of all, if you were hurt, or worse dead, he could never forgive or live with himself. You meant everything to him. He felt himself going crazy looking for you around every corner. He checked all your favorite spots and still nothing.

Diego strolled into the convenient store to buy some beer. Tomorrow was your birthday and he was celebrating it without you, again. He was depressed, he never missed your birthday and he wasn't going to start missing it now.

"Find everything okay?"

"Yeah I-Holy shit..."

Your eyes locked. You found yourself running around the counter and right into his arms. It was like everything had happened in slow motion.

"DIEGO! Oh my god!"

"DIEGO! Oh my god!"

"Baby I'm sorry! I'm so so so sorry!"

You sobbed into his shoulder, him into yours. You missed his hugs, his cologne, him. After all this time, he was with you again, safe and sound.

"God I missed you.." You pulled your head out of his shoulder and cupped his face, kissing him deeply.

"I swear to you on my life, nothing will ever hurt you ever again. I have you now."

Luther:

He had lost himself in trying to find you. Everyday he woke up and looked out the window, praying you'd be at the door. Everyday he was disappointed to see you weren't out there. He hadn't had a good night sleep in 6 months because you weren't next to him. He couldn't remember the last time he actually found joy in anything because he couldn't share any of that joy with you.

Luther blamed himself for getting killed and leaving you alone. The last thing he saw was you bawling your eyes out when Klaus brought him back to save you. He couldn't say much to you, only that he was sorry. He was gone before he could tell you anything else. His heart ached and yearned for you. If you ended up dying or not existing in this timeline, he would end up in a psych ward.

He pulled himself out of bed and did his usual routine before heading out to get breakfast. He wasn't hungry these days but he knew how mad you'd be if he wasn't eating. He walked into the small cafe and got his usual then left.
